Chanel , thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today Risk taking is something we’re really interested in and we’d love to hear the story of a risk you’ve taken.

I risked it all for myself for my business for my children for my future to have a better life as we all no being a entrepreneur business owner is not easy you have your ups and down good and bad days we make it look easy but it’s not your literally broke all the money you make goes back into your business or family you have to keep going no matter what there’s no looking back because there nothing there you have to put god first because everything that your experiencing is meant to happen you just have to be patient and trust the process so me taking a risk on myself and believing in myself is what changed my life.

Hi my name is Chanel I am the owner of mommie cakes located in Arizona I started my business back in 2017 on Crenshaw in California with a 2 day bake sell to remember my grandmother who taught me how to bake in those 2 days I made $500 just off selling my small personal size cakes I was like wow I could make this much money just by selling cakes and from that day I never looked back I started baking when I was 5 years old. Every since then I have been selling my signature cakes and desserts perfect for any occasion I went from having little customers to being world famous I am now a 5 star bakery/dessert shop not only for the taste of my cakes or desserts also because I treat my customers with love and I also bake with love I absolutely love what I do I love to make people happy. I now cater to big corporations like Amazon Home Depot Asu college and so many more. I also provide surprise Delivery to Asu Students For family’s who can’t be there for their special day. What sets me apart from any bakery in az is I’m different i use my creatively for every order I cater to all my customers needs I literally bake anything and I love what I do it’s my passion I absolutely love making people happy. I am most proud of how I have grow as a business owner nobody taught me the ropes I had to learn everything on my own in life experiences I’m living and I’m still learning everyday I wake up I try to better then what I was yesterday I’m teaching my 5 kids how to never give up on your dreams to work hard and to be grateful for any and everything. To all my new clients and new followers I am very grateful to have you experience my journey of life and to see me grow thank you.

Any insights you can share with us about how you built up your social media presence?

I built my audience on social media by posting a lot of content and making reels on Instagram I am literally on every social media platform I also do a lot of ads to promote my business which helps get my business out and word of mouth if you have a good product this is the fastest way customers will brag to others and share your business to other people.

What do you think helped you build your reputation within your market?

I think what helped me build my reputation in my market is my 5 star customer service I feel when you have good customer service you make people want to keep coming back to the place where they feel appreciated.
