Teyana, appreciate you joining us today. The first dollar your business earns is always special and we’d love to hear how your brand made its first dollar of revenue.
Pooch Ooze came about from my love for dogs. I woke up one day with the bright idea of a mobile dog spa. I formulated the business, but at the time did not have a mobile truck. I posted a post on facebook offering in home mobile dog baths. I would come to the home in my car and the client would have to provide the water source. My first client booked a bath, I notified them regarding providing the water and they did not mind at all. After a few booking and great reviews, I was getting booked everyday. Once I got the mobile truck business grew even more!
Teyana, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
As a little girl, I have always had a dog. I’ve been a pet lover all my life. Once I graduated from college, I worked as a canine detection training center and thought this was the best job ever. Life change and I became an insurance adjuster for 6 year and decided I wanted to turn my passion into a business.
Pooch Ooze first started with our organic hot spot spray, which focus on dog with skin issues such as hot spots, skin mites and dry skin. I formulated the solution in home to use on my personal dogs with skin issues.
This lead me to think about fur parents who had trouble getting their dogs to the groomers to get a bath and keep their dogs skin and coat healthy. I restored an old transit van and started Pooch Ooze Pawsome mobile baths. Our unique mobile bath spa come to the home and provide a unique spa day for our furry friends. The community love the fact that we are mobile; no loading the dog up for a trip to the groomer.
I’m very proud of the business success and looking forward to future growth.
Any thoughts, advice, or strategies you can share for fostering brand loyalty?
Keeping in contact with out clients and checking on our fur clients is out top priority. We keep in contact with our with a mobile grooming app called Moego. Clients love the fact we are one click away.
Any advice for growing your clientele? What’s been most effective for you?
Social Media Marketing has been the best marketing strategy for my business. Client loves to see photos of their fur babies.
