We recently connected with Marquita Harris Hall and have shared our conversation below.
Marquita, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. How did you come up with the idea for your business?
When I was just a little girl, it was like an intuition that I knew what I wanted & would be when I got older. So much so, that I can still remember as far back as my Kindergarten graduation when I proudly made my big announcement. That’s right, I sat listening to the kiddos that went before me. Some inspired to be teachers, doctors, firefighters, etc. Soon it was my turn. boldly I approached the mic, peering out into the audience and said, “When I grow up, I want to be a Business Woman!” I can remember hearing the people laughing and clapping as I was walked away. I wasn’t sure what I said that was funny but I was for real. Fast forward to the summer of when I were 8 years old. I knew that I wanted to make some summer funds of my own. Shadowing my mother at work every blue moon inspired me with a desire to help. With mom’s assistance, I landed a cleaning/ dusting role a couple days a week with a close by neighbor. In high school, to earn funds I would provide cosmetology services and babysat for my mothers coworkers who worked over night at the hospital with her. An Easy way to make cash while I sleep was the motive! As time went on. I noticed the desire that I had to help not only my family but others continued to peak my interest. After I graduated and started out into the really world. I took a liking to the Communications and Customer service roles. This was all fuel that I need to get the engine going. One day after having several people speak with me about helping them find work, or when am I going to start my own business and the questions go on… I decided that this was it. I will step into my role and brand this dream that I’ve had all along. In 2013 Helping Hands Assistance was born. Our Motto is How can I lend you a helping hand! Werther it be with our Tax Preparation Services. Business Development or Trucking, we’ve got you covered. With a genuine and sincere approach, I don’t do business out of greed or disparity, taking the time to get to know exactly what your client wants to see flourish as well as needs is a major key to success. I love meeting new people and coaching them into their wining situations!

Hi there, I’m Marquita, I am the Founder & CEO of Helping Hands Assistance LLC. Our business motto is,” How can Lend you a helping hand?” We provide Professional Tax Preparation, Business Development, as well as Logistic Services. With an extensive background in Customer Services, it comes natural for me to always want to provide world class quality service. Having worked with several of the world’s largest financial institutions, I have developed a strong sense for problem solving and am rewarded with customer satisfaction. 15 years ago, I embarked on the journey of Tax Preparations as a part time, past time that turned into a hobby. Being one of the most stressful times to some, and rewarding to others. You work close with clients and develop lasting relationships. For those who know of me and have been around to watch me grow, I appreciate you dearly. For the potential clients, partners, friends that I may encounter, I welcome you with open arms and vow to go above and beyond to get the job done.
Where do you think you get most of your clients from?
Referrals have been the best source of new clientele for me. It has always been rewarding to hear that someone bragged on my customer service and or intense work ethic to others. Then as a result the other party wants in!
How do you keep your team’s morale high?
My advice would always be to treat others how you want to be treated. Might sound cliché’ but it will go a long way with those in which have a respect for you. Creating hardworking and loyal team members
