Hi Josefine, thanks for joining us today. Taking care of customers isn’t just good business – it is often one of the main reasons folks went into business in the first place. So, we’d love to get a conversation going around how to best help clients feel appreciated – maybe you can share something you’ve done or seen someone do that’s been really effective at helping a customer feel valued?
We truly appreciate each and every supporter visiting or purchasing from Derme Home. With each sale, we always follow up with our customer to ask for feedback as well as send them a hand-written thank-you-note. It is a small gesture but have shown to be so appreciated by our community. We highly encourage every business owner to do this, for as long as they can.

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
I struggled with cystic acne during the Covid-19 lockdown. I tried every product and “anti-acne-pill” I could get my hands on in desperation. I visited several dermatologist who recommended birth control as a “solution”. After a couple of months of not seeing any permanent solution, I wanted to try a more holistic approach, including the creation of our own antibacterial bedding, designed for your skin in mind. After all, we do spend 1/3 of our lives sleeping or in bed, so making sure that the surface is in your favor made all the difference in my skin. After seeing the difference in my skin, we soon decided that this is something we want to make available for everyone.
How’d you meet your business partner?
They say never to do business with family. But going into business with my husband has been the best decision we have ever made. If anything, we have gotten to know new sides from one another, and it has only made our bond stronger. I would love to encourage others to take the same leap-of-fait. I understand that it may not be for every couple, but if you and your partner can make it work, the reward from the success of the business is twice as joyful.

How did you build your audience on social media?
The Derme Home community is growing at a steady pace each week. We are strong on our community and our honest communication with our supporters. After all, we wouldn’t be where we are today without them. Our greatest advice when it comes to social media is to find your authentic self, what makes you differentiate from your competitors, find your niche and stick to that. Also, never buy fake-followers, fake-engagement or fake-reviews, it will only do more harm than good.
