Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Es’Synce Star. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Es’Synce Star, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. We’d love to hear about a project that you’ve worked on that’s meant a lot to you.
Zephyr Heart is my first full project (EP) and I worked so hard on it emotions poured out in my songs. Zephyr Heart is an EP that tells my story that shows what I’ve been through. I love the fact it connects to people and they understand that’s why it’s so meaningful to me. To know I touched people’s hearts it makes me feel amazing.
Es’Synce Star, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
I’ve been singing and dancing since I was 4 years old. I started in the church with singing and dancing. I taught myself hip hop watching Missy Elliott, Ciara, Aaliyah etc. never took dance classes. I did the dance production called “The Chocolate Nutcracker” but now known as “The Family Blessing” which helped me get better with techniques in different genres of dancing and I’ve kept pushing ever since. Singing in the church and listening to R&B and Soul I fell in love and watching my mom sing I said I can do this. Wrote my first song in high school and been pushing since. I’m proud that no matter how hard it got for me I kept pushing and my hard work paid off I have people who love my music and want to do music with me. I just want to tell my story and let people get to know me through my music. I just want to show that giving up isn’t an option I want to be an inspiration to women, bbws at that to show you are beautiful inside and out and you can do anything you put your mind to.
What’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative in your experience?
The most rewarding aspect is that I have people who actually faithfully listen to my music and understand where I’m coming from in my music
Do you think there is something that non-creatives might struggle to understand about your journey as a creative? Maybe you can shed some light?
People who are not in this industry thinks it’s easy and all fun. I love what I do but I get the bad side of people to. I get talked about, judged and it hurts but I try to stay strong as possible and keep it pushing. Everyone is not going to like you or always says nice things. This life is exhausting but I love it making music videos, going to the studio, doing shows it’s very time consuming but in order to keep pushing you have to love what you do
