We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Lanee Bradshaw a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
Lanee, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. Let’s kick things off with a hypothetical question – if it were up to you, what would you change about the school or education system to better prepare students for a more fulfilling life and career?
This question comes with so much to digest. The one thing I would change is the one-size fits all format way students are learning. From my experience I realised I was a visual learner. Some students may be auditory learners or they learn by getting their hands on something.
Not everyone digests maths or sciences the same way. Students should be taught on their learning strengths. I was a great science student, but I struggled with math because the way I was taught was not conducive to my learning strength.
Also what students are learning need to be applicable to what is going on in the world now. More states need to consider teaching students financial literacy, how to communicate and how to utilize emotional intelligence so that they develop into more grounded adults.

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
Well hello, I’m Lanee’ Bradshaw. I am a creative entrepreneur and eclectic spiritualist who serves my tribe by teaching about conscious development for entrepreneurs through coaching and mentorship.
I own a small business called Laluminary where I provide one on one services and digital goods to help new and transforming feminine entrepreneurs create impact in their communities.
My journey began around the year 2012 really. I was unsatisfied with the status quo and rebelled against societal norms by deciding college was not for me. I only wish I had realized more things sooner.
However I ask the questions a lot of people ask when they are seeking more. Who? What? Where? Why and how?
I took up art as a natural way to express myself, but I wanted to do more. I studied under various teachers and chose a little of everything to create my own unique spiritual practice.
That practice became today what is known as “Alchemy 2 Clients”. I teach conscious entrepreneurs how to find themselves so that they know who to share their gifts with and why.
What’s a lesson you had to unlearn and what’s the backstory?
Never be afraid to ask for help. No matter how super magical you are, building a business or moving forward through dire situations takes support and strength. Make sure that you are looking for support in the right places and also it’s okay to celebrate the small glories along the way.
My main issue was to get clear on what I needed and wanted and when there are so many nice shiny objects in the way to distract you it can be hard to focus. That is why it is important to know yourself and gather direction. That will help you make an informed decision. I spent many years confused because I thought every ad was a sign for me to join something now or get started in a new venture. No, that wasn’t it at all. When I knew who I was and what I was meant to do, I got clear and stayed focused.

Can you tell us about a time you’ve had to pivot?
Hello 2020! Yes, I went from planning to do showcases in person to starting a brand new business online. It took me about a year to figure it out, but I’m finally here and I am grateful.
It was challenging time for artists as a lot of our events got shutdown. So like many we went to creating a more focused presence. At the time I did not know what I wanted to do. I searched and researched and got to know myself more deeply to figure it all out. I wasted money, but gained wisdom and knowledge in the process.
Now I’m helping people who are in similar situations.
