We recently connected with Tanya Gold and have shared our conversation below.
Tanya, appreciate you joining us today. Do you think your parents have had a meaningful impact on you and your journey?
The best thing my parents have ever done for me is give me freedom. They have a talent even to this day to give guidance and nurturing but not to the point its overbearing, actually very indirect guidance. It gave me the ability to feel supported and loved but at the same time space to take chances , take risks and make my own mistakes. It felt like the perfect balance that ever kid needs growing up and even to this day.

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
I got into nutrition 17 years ago when I had an ailment that couldn’t be fixed by the doctor. As I did my own research I learned that my physical ailment was a conclusion of a mental ailment and instantly grew to learn the body and the mind have a bigger connection than we think. From then I become Nutrition Certified and started taking on clients, I found yoga to be a healing remedy for anything mental that I was processing and then became Yoga certified. I ended up loving the practice and the benefits from it so much I grew my own clientele to the point of owning a studio (13 years later). During Covid I had 3 babies in 3 years and realized these are the years I will never get back with them so I want to seize it as much as I possibly could.
I sold my studio, moved to Texas and grew my practice online.
I now offer 1 on 1 nutrition sessions virtually and in person.
I offer yoga private classes and pop up classes in Toronto and Texas.
And currently sharing my hacks to health and motherhood on my social media accounts.

What do you think is the goal or mission that drives your creative journey?
My mission along this creative journey is to inspire others to follow whatever feels good to them. We are never meant to suffer physically mentally or emotionally.
Everything can be healed, and everyday you can feel good.
I think sometimes we get caught up in the day to day that we sometimes forget that it is OUR RIGHT to feel good from the inside out.
I am here to show you things that will help you achieve that.

How did you build your audience on social media?
At first I built my social media practice by teaching yoga around Canada. After teaching for 13 years and gaining over 500 clients, the word started to spread and I gained a following.
After that I noticed that most of my social media community really was drawn to my intentions and outlook on life so I began to share that more. Then I got pregnant and had 3 babies back to back, 4th one is coming in 5 weeks and that drew another audience.
The most important part of having a social media presence is authenticity.
You are there to share your story with others and to let them know they are not alone in whatever they are going through, that we are all in this together and we are here to support each other.
