We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Yo Dj Star. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Yo Dj below.
Yo Dj, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. Parents can play a significant role in affecting how our lives and careers turn out – and so we think it’s important to look back and have conversations about what our parents did that affected us positive (or negatively) so that we can learn from the billions of experiences in each generation. What’s something you feel your parents did right that impacted you positively.
Out of many things, the one thing I really admire my parents for is letting me be my true self. They’ve never made me feel less of a person for making the choices I’ve made in life. They’ve always supported me on being whoever I wanted to be and I’ll always love them for that!

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
My name is Starion, I go by Dj Star & I’ve been a DJ for 1 year & 6 months! I started off joking around on tiktok and someone messaged me asking if I could DJ their party. I said yes and got on YouTube to quickly learn the basics. I had 1 week to prepare for my first and gig and needless to say, that was the start of my newfound passion. I love to DJ. From the music to just interacting with people from all over the world and different backgrounds.
We’d love to hear the story of how you built up your social media audience?
These days, building an audience on social media has been easier than ever. From Tiktok to Instagram & even Twitter. There’s so many people around the world interested in all kinds of content. All you have to do is stay consistent and post! No matter how many likes or views you get, someone is always watching!

We often hear about learning lessons – but just as important is unlearning lessons. Have you ever had to unlearn a lesson?
A lesson I had to unlearn is treat people how they treat you! That’s not going to get you anywhere. I won’t stoop down to someone’s level just to prove a point. I’ll simply ignore it and continue being me!
