We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Stoney a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
Hi Stoney, thanks for joining us today. Can you tell us the backstory behind how you came up with the idea?
I came up with chosen studios by taking all of the skills I learned for fun and combining them into something way more than I expected and something I can share with other people. I want my brand to specifically reach out to the younger generation because I’m young just like everyone else with dreams and goals. This is one of the reason I felt like i could succeed with chosen studios, because my brand is formed around entertainment with a lot of cultural such as the hip-hop/rap community, skateboarding an rock

Stoney, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
I’m an artist that’s really it, everything I do is art. I also want to contribute to being a creative director for a local collective group I’m in full of young talented people (YRA). My main focus was to draw cover art but, I’m all around so I can do much more than just draw and design cover art also into shooting videos so be expecting V-logs from us or just me in general.
I communicate well with my clients I’m still an underground brand so I don’t have to much problems with my business just transportation reasoning which is one of the reason I can’t get a lot of videos done for incoming clients.
what I think sets me apart from others is my creativity Everyone doesn’t think the same or get inspired the same way so, my pieces of clothing are going to look different and my videos and visuals are going to look old cause of the camera I use

Learning and unlearning are both critical parts of growth – can you share a story of a time when you had to unlearn a lesson?
Don’t let risk hold you back from your ideas because you would just continue to have your idea in the idea pile and you would be scared to take that risk because you feel like things won’t go good as you plan them to be and yes sometimes it won’t always be the outcome you expect right away because things like this take time.
For you, what’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative?
Just seeing others appreciate your art more then you do it give you a feeling to keep going to achieve your goals
