We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Drew Taylor. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Drew below.
Drew , looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. What’s been the most meaningful project you’ve worked on?
I was a firefighter for 4 years and owned my own business. We were doing fairly well in Canada with the music and decided it was time to move to America and risk it all to be something bigger. Left Canada and moved here so far things have been going great, we have released a new single wish I didn’t a few weeks back and it’s already been streamed over 70,000 times. It’s also been added to a few major Apple playlists. And the song was just released to radio and it’s getting a ton of reaction. It’s nice to see hard work paying off over the years, you start so small each song is a win, over the years you realize each song was just a stepping stone to where you are now. The songs grow with you as an artist, and keep getting bigger and better.

Drew , before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
I got into music at a young age even though I wasn’t very good at it, I kept at it there is no more plan B. This is what my life is now and I need to make the best of it. I am an artist, and that was a very strange thing to come to terms with, as personally I’m not a very artistic guy. Sometimes looking in the mirror and realizing every little win leading up to where you are now we’re always huge wins. We have millions of Apple streams. Have played some of the biggest stages in Canada and now it’s time for America.
We’d love to hear the story of how you built up your social media audience?
Just posting honest material and material people relate with.

In your view, what can society to do to best support artists, creatives and a thriving creative ecosystem?
Be good
