Syerra , appreciate you joining us today. Alright, so you had your idea and then what happened? Can you walk us through the story of how you went from just an idea to executing on the idea

I was living in Arizona at the time and I was working countless of mental health jobs and server mental illness work . I enjoyed helping people but I just knew I had more in me to do in life . I was always good at eating food and helping people self develop in life . When the pandemic hit I had no choice to bask in my creativity for food and people. I started going to Walmart daily and buying random food items and decided to start recording myself and posting them online because I thought it was a hobby. Little did I know God had other plans . I started a food page just to show others my work and for fun but people began reaching out to make to cater for them and entertain them as well . I decided it wasn’t a bad thing to do so I did just that . I then had a dream for me to move to Miami and start my catering business there , I packed up my vehicle and sold everything and drove to Miami and started selling plates two days after I moved in . My life literally started to change in a matter of 6 months . I honestly didn’t know what I was doing but I trusted God and I know who my God is , when he tells me to move I do so without asking any questions . December 2020 I started “ Easycookinwithsyllc” a year later I have a Elite catering business and it’s still growing. Two years later I will be on Food network and my events are bigger. It don’t stop there , I had to turn my abilities to help others excel in life into a business. So I created women with a reason Inc to help others self develop and grow throughout life . I help small business owners grow and scale out and mentor people in life to help them reach their full potential.

I had to die to myself in order for me to be an asset to life and develop two different businesses to help people grow in life . I had to figure out that fear cripples freedom and self growth so I had to learn how to not bask in that . Most people call me CRAZY FAITH because I don’t sit on ideas I have to take them from an idea to reality by pushing myself daily .

Syerra , before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?

My name is Syerra also known as SYERRALYNN or Chef Sy . I’m a business owner and mental health therapist. I have a passion for people and food . I run an elite catering business in Miami but soon I’ll be global . I also run a business to help small business owners and people self develop in life .

I create experiences with food I cater to the upscale and luxurious. I’m constantly looked as the Creative Queen because every event is different. I have a passion for people and food and you can tell through my work . I’m always in happy mood and love entertaining my guest with laughter and good food .

My business is an all in one business. Many of my clients love working with me because I take the hassle away from allowing others to fell the need to look for other services elsewhere and you can just go through me for everything.

I’m most proud of my dedication and commitment . Day after day I come up with unique ways to improve my business and my skills to cater to others like no other .

How did you put together the initial capital you needed to start your business?

Funding my business was something I knew I needed, I had to figure out a smart way to do so . I discovered business credit and taught myself everything within 90 days . Business credit has helped me leverage my business. I was able to purchase my business vehicle in my business name and obtain over $50,000 in business credit. Within the first three months, I knew I needed some type of revenue to allow my business to stay afloat, but also grow and now I teach and help others do the same.

How did you build your audience on social media?

Social media will be your best friend or in other words it needs to be your best friend. Social media has helped my business grow tremendously over the years allow me to showcase my personality, letting people get personal with me in order for me to build trust with them and getting them as a customer, multiple videos of mine has went viral on TikTok, but I also was able to meet different customers from all over due to social media . Social media shouldn’t be scary. I know some might think it is due to the opinions of others but I tend to think of social media as my world. Anybody who is tuned into the things that I showcase on my platform is somebody obviously in the audience wanting to learn something or gain ideas from me to help them grow . Look at it like this. A lot of people in this world is not comfortable in their own skin so my only advice to you is to get comfortable with yourself so others around you have no choice but to except you for who you are. Social media should be fun engaging in a unique world to help leverage your business. Get creative.!
