We recently connected with Rohan Galbraith jr and have shared our conversation below.
Rohan, appreciate you joining us today. Learning the craft is often a unique journey from every creative – we’d love to hear about your journey and if knowing what you know now, you would have done anything differently to speed up the learning process.
I always knew deep down I wanted to be a creative. I just didn’t know in which field. Knowing what I know now I would tell my younger self to do more research into the fashion world back in the day. Research the history and become familiar with certain house names and designers. The skills that were the most essential to me were problem-solving, critical thinking, communication, and brainstorming. Self-guidance and lack of experience stood in the way of me learning more skills.

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers
When I was a Morehouse student, I first joined this group called The AUC Agency. The Atlanta University Center’s fashion and dance productions were the main focus. the only freshman on the executive team was myself.
People began to take notice of me since I was dressing up every day and they were fascinated by the way I placed my own puzzle pieces together. This inspires me to start my own brand, Dancingindesigner, which I started as a fashion blog before turning into a virtual styling business and attracting clients.
My entire childhood was spent being aware of fashion. Observing the fashions my mother wore from Juicy Couture, Baby Phat, Coogi, and other well-known streetwear companies from the 2000s. It had a significant impact on my life.
As I grew older, I came to understand my true strength, which inspired me to make a bold move and give the fashion business my own spin.
Can you share your view on NFTs? (Note: this is for education/entertainment purposes only, readers should not construe this as advice)
Consider them works of art or collectibles. Like all works of art and antiques, their worth depends on the buyer.
Although I myself wouldn’t pay someone hundreds of thousands of dollars for shiny cardboard Pokemon, I can see why someone else could. NFTs are the same way.

How can we best help foster a strong, supportive environment for artists and creatives?
Making art is a lifelong learning process that you engage in throughout your career. One of the most fulfilling aspects of being an artist is seeing your own development as a creative. It enables individuality and personality to be recognized. It can aid in bringing what is already present within to the surface; inner qualities and capacities may show themselves. It enables us to pursue our interests. Participation in the arts fosters a sense of community.
