We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Tasha Scott a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
Tasha, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today Let’s start with a story that highlights an important way in which your brand diverges from the industry standard.
My services are much more affordable than the average rates in the public relations industry. I take pride in providing cost effective services. I’m going to help you achieve goals without breaking your bank account.

Tasha, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
I’m originally from Kentucky, and I started out as a manager for my best friend who was a DJ. In 2009, I discovered my love for helping artists get more exposure, and after getting some experience, I started doing public relations. I quickly became known for helping artists successfully gain exposure through blogs and other media. In 2020 I started Lotti Creatives where we do public relations and brand management. What sets me apart from other PRs is that I provide cost efficient services. I’m probably one of the only PRs that accepts all budgets, no matter how low. The foundation of my business is helping people achieve their goals without breaking their pockets. I also founded SheBloggin.com, which is what I’m most known for. We were one of the first blogs to showcase only independent artists. We continue to do this, but now we also feature original articles focused on industry and business tips, and lifestyle.
Can you share a story from your journey that illustrates your resilience?
In 2003 while I was attending the University of Kentucky, I was diagnosed with a large tumor in my brain. The effects it left after it was removed were life changing. I lost total vision in one eye, and my face and head enlarged. I was afraid to go out in public because people would stare at me. It was a horrible experience for years. When I started Shebloggin.com, it became an outlet for me that gave me peace. It was through my site, Shebloggin supporters, and God of course, that I finally found my way out of a 9 year depression.

Can you talk to us about how your side-hustle turned into something more.
At first, my blog was just a hobby that wasn’t bringing in any money. In 2016 I was working for Atlantic Records, and an associate asked me, if my site was monetized. I didn’t know how to do that. After doing research, I discovered how to do it and first started with offering advertising on the site. After a while companies started reaching out to me and offered to pay me to place SEO articles on my site. Before you know it, my site, along with my business began bringing in full time income. After seeing the success my blog got from the sponsored posts, I started adding them to my businesses website. Monetizing websites of any kind can definitely be lucrative.
