Any insights you can share with us about how you built up your social media presence?
Social media is your number one source for FREE MARKETING and the most effective in my opinion.
It affords you the luxury of connecting with your audience and allows you the opportunity to discover your ideal client.
All you have to do , is to show up everyday and put yourself out there. Post stories and show your face , provide educational material utilizing the reels , showcase your work in your feed. It’s such a powerful tip and you don’t have to pay for it.
We’d love to hear a story of resilience from your journey.
Growing up in Iran , I was always surrounded by beautiful women who either worked at salons or owned one. They always seemed so happy and looked so put together. I remember being so memorized by the way their clients looked after the services. It was the TRANSFORMATION for me. The boost of confidence they were gifting to their clients. I remember thinking to myself “ I want to do and be that when I grow up”. Fast forward to 1999 when my family and I migrated to United States , I knew that was the career path I wanted to get into so I started my beauty journey in 2002 ( gosh I feel old ) . I was 16 years old when I enrolled in cosmetology school . I was so young and eager to learn .
Not everyone was supportive of my career choice and they really encouraged me to go to college instead and pick a “ real career “ but I had already made up my mind , cosmology school it was .
Twenty one years later , I’m still just as passionate and in love with my career choice. I have a successful and fulfilling career where I have the privilege to be apart of my brides most important day. I get to make them look and feel their most beautiful. I get to give my clients the confidence they need to show up and work with women I absolutely adore.
There is so much that goes on behind the scene leading up to the big day. There is so much planning , communication, preparation , long days , waking up early and we can’t forget about having to travel with ALL of our equipment . It can be challenging at times , but it’s such a rewarding career. We do what we do because we truly love it and we’re passionate about it.
