Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Rebecca Auzenne. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.

Hi Rebecca, thanks for joining us today. We’d love to go back in time and hear the story of how you came up with the name of your brand?

The owners grew up with tabletop games, board games, and video games and we wanted to bring the love of games into a space that would welcome those activities, while serving drinks and food. We have a space that can be rented out for events, parties, and even host murder mystery dinners, scavenger hunts, and escape rooms. We incorporate themes from Dungeons & Dragons, Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings, Elder Scrolls, and a ton of other well-loved stories, games, books, movies, and TV shows. When we decided to open, we wanted a name that would remind people of the gaming industry, and our name, Dungeons & Daiquiris, also includes our favorite drinks that we serve. Other than Daiquiris, which stems from our Louisiana roots, we offer customized flatbread pizzas on house-made bread, house-made gourmet macaroni and cheese, and regional styled hotdog options. Our custom cocktails include themed drinks from all of our favorites and we have a lot of fun with it. We host Dungeons & Dragons games every week to fit our name, and also host trivia, murder mystery events, tournaments, karaoke and parties every month.

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?

The owners purchased the location to use for a workspace, but it is such a unique location, full of character, that we decided to turn it into a location that serves our community and provide a unique place to go along with it. Our love of games brought us to open, and our customers love a unique place to come and hang out, as well as a place that serves quality late night food and drinks. We are mostly proud of our customers and how much they enjoy being in the space and expanding the events we can host in the future.

We’d love to hear about how you keep in touch with clients.

We pay close attention to all of our followers on social media and we also created a discord server for our customers and other members to join and chat. We use this method to actually ask our customers what they like, what they want to do in the space, and how we can improve. Our Dungeons & Dragons groups chat there as well to plan campaigns and one shots with the dungeon masters.

What do you think helped you build your reputation within your market?

We focus on quality and providing a welcoming and open environment for everyone who comes to visit us. We have customers who will come see us from out of town as well as local and we make sure our events provide a fun experience to remember, but the food is delicious and the drink options make it worth the trip as much as the event. We also try our best to work with our customers for their private events and we also go to a lot of effort for decorations every month to provide something unique with every visit. The owners frequent the establishment and join in for festivities on a regular basis and make sure to keep in touch with all of our customers as much as possible.
