We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Lorena Pages a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.

Lorena, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. Before we get into specifics, let’s talk about success more generally. What do you think it takes to be successful?

Consistency and a willingnes to keep learning and improving.

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.

I am a comedy content creator. I began posting videos I created on platforms like Instagram, Tiktok and Snapchat about 3 years ago. I also began doing voiceovers with my pets that began to trend through the platforms. During this time many people began using my audios for their personal videos. During quarantine I decided to do an audio about showing off the clothes we couldn’t wear and it went viral. I began doing campaigns with brands, writing content and creating voiceovers for them. My content has been shared and used by the biggest celebrities such as Justin Biever, Jennifer Aniston, Ellen Deggeneres and Sofia Vergara. I’ve also had the opportunity to work with Vogue, Nike, Vera Wang, Jagermeister and others. My goal is to continue making people laugh and working in the industry. I would love to be a part of TV shows and movies while continue working with amazing brands.

Any insights you can share with us about how you built up your social media presence?

To build an audience you need to post content consistently. You have to fufill a need, either entertainment, informative, advice or anything truly interesting. I’ve learned you really should love what you’re doing because you can’t expect immediate results. It can be a very slow and inconsistent process but you can’t allow that to unmotivate you.

Let’s talk about resilience next – do you have a story you can share with us?

I feel so fortunate to be able to do what I love although it hasn’t always been easy. The internet moves fast and many things can happen along the way in which you have no control of. Things such as stolen content, no credit among many other things. It may feel unfair but that is part of this industry and we can’t let it unmotivate us. I love people and making them smile, that is why I do this that is my focus.
