We recently connected with Alex Oren and have shared our conversation below.
Alex, appreciate you joining us today. Before we get into specifics, let’s talk about success more generally. What do you think it takes to be successful?
Success looks different for everyone. I think a major key I practice and see other successful people practice is the ability to make the best out of any situation. In life things will happen to you in and out of your control. If you sit and make the proper decisions, and always strive to make things better in small or big steps theres no way you can lose.

Alex, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
Im a 23 year old Creative. Singer, Producer, Artist, VFX artist, and jack of most trades. I specialize in bringing ideas to life
Let’s talk about resilience next – do you have a story you can share with us?
Resilience is a super key part to success. Its honestly the difference between being able to press a button in your head, or thinking your not capable. For me being resilient wasn’t really like… “I’m gonna wake up tomorrow and complete these 50 tasks.” Being resilient for me came from necessity. About a year or so ago I had a meeting with my manager Ben. I had pitched to him the Idea of starting to do cover art, learning graphic art to fund my music. Had no idea how I was gonna make it work with no game-plan. Got super in depth and spent about two months teaching myself blender ( a 3d open source software). I had no clue where its was gonna land me, at that point I was just learning. About a year later I’ve gotten the ability at 23 to work with some pretty big household names, such as Levis, Chris Brown, Offset, and G Herbo to name a few. This is something still in the works right now. Im currently trying to tie all the skills together with the music, Im super excited to share some of these ideas in 2023. So make sure to expect a body of work from me this year.

Are there any books, videos or other content that you feel have meaningfully impacted your thinking?
I find a lot of teachings, tutorials and huge life hacks on youtube honestly. We live in a generation where we have multiple sources of learning. Im mainly a visual learner so I found that the ability to learn through visuals and interviews helped me a lot. Some of my favorite channels and places to go for inspiration would be Gary Vaynerchuck, Ian Hubert, Pensados Place, and may more. A lot of the way I think is attributed to what Ive been able to learn so I spend a lot of time dedicated to just learning daily.
