Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Jamie Freya Knott. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Hi Jamie Freya, thanks for joining us today. What did your parents do right and how has that impacted you in your life and career?
My parents showed me that any interests or desires I had were worth cultivating. I can remember trying karate, gymnastics, flute lessons, spelling bees, and even tennis at different times during my childhood. Never once did my parents make me feel as if I couldn’t do something. The experience of trying new things constantly in my youth has allowed me to take bigger risks and trust the process later in life.

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
I have dabbled in blogging and content creation for years , first as a hobby and an escape and more recently as a business. The universal toughness of life pushed me towards centering mental fortitude and entrepreneurship as my main focus within my content. The reality that there are infinite possibilities for each of us makes it relevant that I contribute the most uplifting and beneficial content I can to everyone I encounter.
Through platforms like YouTube, I’m able to teach tangible business skills and be visible for those seeking more personalized coaching. I find sharing and connecting with other humans online and in coaching sessions to be fulfilling in a way that a 9-to-5 can’t compete with.
Where do you think you get most of your clients from?
I can’t speak enough about the power of YouTube as a way to build visibility and clientele. The platform works as a business within itself while showcasing your skills 24/7 to potential clients, business partners, and collaborators. I severely underestimated the impact it would have on my life and business when I started. I’m gained connections from places I haven’t even physically traveled too yet. to me, YouTube is unmatched.

How about pivoting – can you share the story of a time you’ve had to pivot?
Back in 2021, I was doing a lot of different projects. I had at least 7 websites, 10 social media accounts, 2 service businesses, and was working towards ownership in a cooperative business. I was doing all this alone and I had to come to terms with the fact that I was spinning my wheels and getting nowhere fast.
I had to make the tough decision to narrow my focus and choose what mattered the most. I had to decide which business venture would make the most sense for my current lifestyle and my vision for the future.
