Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Zaida Alfaro. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.

Alright, Zaida thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. Let’s kick things off with your mission – what is it and what’s the story behind why it’s your mission?

Most of us have dreams we would like to realize, things we would like to change, or do differently in our lives. I aim to empower women to make those changes. My purpose is to bring out your inner confidence, self-value, and true self. This unstoppable confidence will enable you to smash through those barriers and limited beliefs that you have about yourself and move forward with your life.

Zaida, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?

My name is Zaida. I was born and raised in Miami, Florida. I am a singer; songwriter; producer; Grammy considered artist; cozy mystery author; and now, a certified Life Coach. My journey has been an interesting one. I have met so many amazing people throughout my singing career, through my music. I was often told that listening to my songs was a form of therapy. For many years, I wanted to pursue a career in which I can personally help others, not just through my songs, but one on one. So, in 2022, I decided to take a leap forward and I went back to school, and I became a certified Life Coach.

I often get asked what is a Life Coach. As a Life Coach, I help women create the changes they want in all aspects of their lives. It is a process that helps one get unstuck and move plans forward to a successful completion. I specialize in working with women discover their true-self, inner-worth and self-value.

I believe that it only takes one person to change one’s life, you. But one also needs guidance, and that is what I am here to do. With coaching, you do not have to navigate life’s challenges on your own. We will work hand-in-hand to realize your full and true potential. I am here to help you to re-enforce your goals and your purpose.

What’s worked well for you in terms of a source for new clients?

I recently launched my business, Inner Light Coaching. The best source to ascertain new clients thus far, has been through social media, more specifically, Instagram. I am working on other methods to connect with clients, such as this article through Canvas Rebel! Thank you for the platform.

We often hear about learning lessons – but just as important is unlearning lessons. Have you ever had to unlearn a lesson?

The main lesson that learned is that a Life Coach listens 80% of the time and speaks 20% of the time. I had to unlearn speaking throughout ones session. I had to learn how to listen with my body, my heart and my intuition, instead of my mind. “The gift of listening is the gift of healing.” – Unknown
