Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.

I also caught on late how important it is to send emails daily. I was sleeping on this avenue of marketing and getting my brand out there using other channels. Once I started to send emails daily I saw how my emails were converting into sales. Remember to never underestimate any form of marketing, never limit yourself. I use Shopify for my business platform and this comes with many perks including email marketing. I am constantly working hard to continue to build and expand my brand.Being an entrepreneur and building a brand. Building a brand takes hard work,consistency, and is not for the WEAK. All and all starting Flava Cosmetics LLC has been one of the best decisions I have ever made towards my dreams!!

We’d love to hear the story of how you built up your social media audience?

Building a social media presence can be enjoyable but tricky. I am currently building my brand on social media, it’s all about knowing your target audience and what they need from you. This is important because it helps you cater to your audience. This helps bring the engagement we all crave when building a brand/business.

What’s a lesson you had to unlearn and what’s the backstory?

One of the biggest things I had to unlearn was my feelings. The support for your business will come from strangers before friends and family in certain cases. It is extremely important you learn to separate your personal feelings from your business. Not everyone is going to support what you are building, sometimes even your closest friends and family. “Quickest way to kill your dream is to tell it to a small minded person.’ Everyone will not be able to see your vision and that is perfectly okay as long as you do. This can sometimes feel like a lonely journey, always remember it will be worth it in the END!!
