We recently connected with Andre Williams and have shared our conversation below.
Andre, appreciate you joining us today. What do you think Corporate America gets wrong in your industry?
Corporate America has forgotten to sign artist who are very talented. Everything is all about numbers with them. That is the reason why the talent that is on the radio only last for a summer or the most a year if corporate America. Sign legitimate artist who are talented, then music wouldn’t be.as bad as it is today.
Andre, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
I got into the music industry when I was 19 years old. It was always a passion of mine to take my poetry and make music as time went on. I was almost sign to a couple of record labels. But it didn’t fall through so I decided to start my own brand and record label/company. My brand is called “L.U.V” which stands for a Lust Unconditional Vows those are the three elements that you need to have a great relationship in my opinion, but most importantly self-love. What sets me apart is my brand and what I do for my clients is that I produce or write songs for them what I am most proud of are my accomplishments such as awards I’ve won on the come up!
Let’s talk about resilience next – do you have a story you can share with us?
Being able to be rejected and turn the rejection into fuel and pushing you forward to creating your own. Always remember there’s no traffic when you create your own lane.
We often hear about learning lessons – but just as important is unlearning lessons. Have you ever had to unlearn a lesson?
The lesson I had to unlearn was when I was told to do what I want, but I quickly learned that constructive criticism is best, and I had to learn that everybody who critiques you are not haters they’re just giving you pointers for self improvement because it’s only going to benefit you in the long run
