Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Cherrelle Moore. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Cherrelle, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today When did you first know you wanted to pursue a creative/artistic path professionally?
I was attending Brooklyn college back in 2013 and I had one semester left. I ended up getting really sick missing class and assignments also having a tragic death in the family during that time. One day I had a panic attack in my home and started freaking out about my life and what I wanted to do. I had an epiphany that I wanted to be a creative and travel the world not conforming to. 9-5 lifestyle especially following the footsteps of my parents. With one semester left I ended up taking a break from school and started my modeling career.

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
Once I started traveling, partying and networking, I’ve met so many influential people and even started my modeling career as well as working with marketing companies for events and pop up’s. My break from school showed me that there’s more to life and I don’t regret anything. Eventually I went back to school in 2017 and graduated in 2018 getting my bachelors degree back in NYC. Now in 2022 I’ve moved to Georgia and have been modeling unsigned and creating opportunities for other creatives to push forward to work on their dreams!
Is there mission driving your creative journey?
I am going to launch my creative agency helping black and brown creatives to give them the tools and resources. I’ve always been a helping hand and for my community. It’s so hard to find the connections or recognition as a creative so I want to change that.

We often hear about learning lessons – but just as important is unlearning lessons. Have you ever had to unlearn a lesson?
The lesson I had to unlearn is to never give up and walk away from everything. I get bored easily so when I dropped out of school I had to go through obstacles to get back on track. Also I wish I signed with an agency to be more prepared and organized on campaigns and work I’ve down so I could’ve been paid properly and knowing my rights for content.
