Alright, Keegan thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. Let’s kick things off with your mission – what is it and what’s the story behind why it’s your mission?

The whole reason I got into this is pretty simple honestly. I love food, and I love supporting the restaurants here that work their tale off to put out a good product.

I have loved every minute of going to these places, trying their food, getting to know their story and hearing the feedback from everyone that has watched my videos. It is very rewarding just seeing the engagement and support I get from strangers I have never met before.

Keegan, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?

My name is Keegan Cathcart and for almost the past year I have been going around to local restaurants, food trucks, coffee shops, ect.. and doing reviews on them on TikTok.

I feel fortunate to maybe give these businesses a voice and get the word out about their product, but also giving my spin on how food should be enjoyed and reviewed.

I loved watching Man Vs. Food in High school and hoped one day I could do something similar to that and just kind of took it into my own hands. Food doesn’t have to always be so cut and dry. It can be given flair, humor, and compassion for what an art it truly is.

I just hope I have been able to provide that for people.

We’d love to hear the story of how you built up your social media audience?

Literally posted one video and got some comments from it and one person, literally one person said ” bro you’re funny keep it up” that’s all it took. It was definitely out of my comfort zone to videotape myself eating in my car, but after that it grew my confidence.

What’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative in your experience?

I think its the people that comment “that looks great, I’m definitely going to check it out” or owners or workers commenting on my videos saying how the videos have helped their business.

When you can make a positive impact on someone’s day by literally just being a dork and eating on TikTok it makes it all worth it.
