Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Stephanie & Jun Marcelin. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Stephanie & Jun, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today Let’s jump to the end – what do you want to be remembered for?
I (Jun) was a part of a master class earlier this year, and one of the activities we had to do was write out our eulogies. I began to think of everything I would want to be said about me at my funeral. Once we concluded the assignment, we were to view what we wrote, reverse engineer, and live out what we wrote down.
The legacy we want to be remembered for is we loved well. We want our daughter, family, friends, and those we come into contact with to feel genuinely loved and accepted. We also want to be remembered for living out our Christian faith. To be people of integrity and kindness and match our words with our deeds.
As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
About Us:
Our lives consist of moments.
Moments of laughter. Moments of sorrow.
Moments of victory. Moments of transition.
Moments of growth. Moments of pain.
Within each of those moments, God has something to say in the midst of it all.
One of the promises we hold dear is found in 1 Peter 5:10 “And after you have suffered a little while, the God of all grace, who has called you to his eternal glory in Christ,
will himself restore, confirm, strengthen, and establish you.”
Our hope and prayer are that through these conversations your life is enriched and that regardless of the moment you are in trust and know that God will restore, confirm, strengthen, and establish you.
Much Love,
The Marcelins

What do you find most rewarding about being a creative?
We love this question! We believe it’s two-part. First, the reward we get from creating art is that it is therapeutic for us. There is a sense of fulfillment that comes from executing an idea that first began as a thought. Few things can come close to this feeling. Secondly, we know that what we are creating is a tool that can help someone on the other side of the mic listen, and in turn, they can apply it to their daily lives. Both aspects are equally rewarding to us.
What do you think is the goal or mission that drives your creative journey?
We would tie the mission driving our creative journey to our Christian Faith. We believe that everyone created was placed on this earth with a specific purpose and assignment. We each have something to offer that can assist someone, whether or not we think it is significant. Everyone is not for everyone, but everyone is for someone. When you discover what your purpose is and your audience, you begin the get clarity you need to accomplish it.
