We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Tracie Person a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
Tracie, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. How did you come up with the idea for your business?
Grief Life Coaching started for me during my healing process. I am a mother of a child that has comitted suicide. It was important for me to be strong, while still being a parent to help my children and others heal. Dealing with death and depression has become my passion and purpose for becoming a Life Coach. My Grief Coaching strategy is designed to help Mothers and families suffering from the loss of a child or sibling. My past experiences include accidental deaths, homicides, domestic violence and of course suicide. Being a Life Coach has helped me grow as a Mother, Community Advocate and Motivational Speaker. I am blessed to help clients get back to a healthy lifestyle after losing a loved one.
As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
Tracie L. Person, I am a loving mother, woman of God, certified life coach, pastor assistant and community advocate. I have a passion for uplifting grieving mothers and supporting people around me. I encourage families to stay together, pray and find a peaceful way to live after death of a loved one. Being a Grief Coach has helped me gain a strong trust and confidential agreement with my clients and the community. I speak at funerals, help families make arrangements, obituaries, and I am very hands on to help comfort a grieving mother.
Any stories or insights that might help us understand how you’ve built such a strong reputation?
Personal Experiences… My Only son committed suicide. Death is everywhere… My Best friends son was killed in front of her home.
Car Accidents, Domestic Violence, Gun homicides.
I live on the Southside of Chicago, and I am also a victim of a mass shooting.
I am a Community Advocate on the frontline.
How did you build your audience on social media?
Being “Social” on social media works for me and my services. Communication is Key so I always text back and respond on every post.
Persistance… You have to stay consistent with your postings. Let the People see your name over and over.
Be Truthful… Tell your clients the truth. Be open and honest.
Transparency… Clients want to see the real you. We all make mistakes.
