Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Diego Tario. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Diego, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. Let’s jump back to the first dollar you earned as a creative? What can you share with us about how it happened?
I was 15yo the first time i sold a piece of art or better said traded. Growing up I had the privilege of having older brothers who could draw that I would mimic and older neighborhood friends that were emerging tattoo artists. It was a Jesus Christ drawing I had drawn from memory traded in return for my 1st tattoo which I also drew. Thats the moment I knew there was value behind the craft. That Jesus was then later tattooed on another friend.

Diego, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
I started painting in 2015 but been drawing ever since i was able to hold a crayon. Its been a blessing having clients come back 1,2,and even 3times for more commission work means im doing something right. D1 TRILL ART is a brand that can be many mediums or forms of art. My biggest calling unfortunatley has been portraits of deceased loved ones. but my work spans from pop culture to fine art.
What’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative in your experience?
For me some of the top rewards of the art game have been the reactions I get of pure joy from turning in a nice piece, or being able to put food on my familys table from something I create or even just being able to pay a bill from a craft you did and not use your regular income.

What can society do to ensure an environment that’s helpful to artists and creatives?
I think local artshows more regularly are a great way of putting artists in front of viewers they would never meet other wise and a great way to join collectors with creators. For those who cant get in higher end gallaries and those who want to promote their work.
