Kindness begets kindness. So, wanted to create a space to share and amplify stories of kindness with the hope that it inspires a chain reaction.

My sister was dying and to say that she left things in disarray would be an understatement. She was stuck in a hospital for months, by herself in another state and we had none of the right paperwork to help or step in the way we needed to. I’ll spare you the details of the people that tried to take advantage of the situation, the way we FINALLY got the power of attorney signed, and what we had to do to get her home. Read more>>

This industry can be cut throat and unkind a lot of the time. My job is two fold: Senior Creative Manager + First Team Photographer. Going into my first season in the MLS as a Team Photographer, I reached out to several MLS photographers I’ve admired from afar for years. Truthfully was not expecting to get a response from these people, but three individuals were so helpful and amazing to take time out of their day for me to call and pick their brains: Robert Mora (LA Galaxy), Katie Cahalin (NYCFC), Jacob Gonzalez (Austin FC). Most recently, I performed at the Swissotel Chicago in collaboration with Sofar Sounds. It was a quick set in an intimate setting of surprise performers. During the opening of my set, we had high energy, and soonafter I realized my sustain pedal for my keyboard died. Clearly I’m not one to hide my emotions, because I confessed to the crowd at the end of the song. The set was still a great vibe with one of my favorite drummers, David Blair II. Read more>>

9 years ago I was a sophomore in college majoring in event management. In this major, you are required to complete 3 internships throughout your time in school in any related field. I had applied to an event decor company not really knowing anything about it or what I was getting myself into. I met Debbie the day I walked into my interview and the rest was history. It turned out this event decor company was a floral design shop for weddings and events. I felt so lucky because I fell right into it and had found I had a natural talent for it. Read more>>

The kindest thing anyone has ever done for me in my time as a cosplayer (someone that dresses up as a character from a movie, book, or video game) was making a drawing of me. For context, I created my first-ever prop by hand, but I was so nervous to post pictures of it that I waited an entire month to post them. I was very proud of myself, but I was so focused on the prop’s few defects. My nerves almost got the best of me. Read more>>

I remember sitting on the balcony with a friend when it was already late afternoon. I watched the pink afterglow fade to a dark purple. The only sound in my ears was the wind and the rattling of the leaves. We just sat there in silence as I was going through a very difficult time. I just felt so tired. We just sat there until the evening, watching the stars. I don’t know why, but this scene has always been there in my mind. Read more>>

I was going through a hard time, I was super stressed out, exhausted and really struggling to figure out what direction my life was taking. I had just come back from a massive international trip and the highs from travel were wearing off. On paper everything looked great! I had a successful marketing agency, a dozen clients and life looked busy. In real life I was struggling, I was still ‘recovering’ from the last two Covid years and I was realizing my work no longer satisfied me. It wasn’t enough. Read more>>

Six years ago one of my three sons was diagnosed with autism at age four. Five years ago we made the decision to get a service dog for him to help him better handle some struggles autism can bring. But service dogs are not cheap. It takes a lot of time, training and funds to get a service dog. My husband and I knew we wouldn’t be able to handle this big bill on our own. So we decided to do some fundraising. Read more>>

I am very blessed. There are so many kind things that people have done for me but one act of kindness sticks with me the most. I was 19 years old, working full time at Chick fil A and part time as a babysitter. I was financially supporting my family along with my older sister and my sweet dog was sick and dying and had appointments twice a week at the vets office so bills were tight to say the least. This was also they year my dad left. Read more>>

I have 2 that really stick out. The first one was a letter of recommendation written by a client of mine for the AFS 2018 Fitness Influencer of the year award. It was amazing and sincere and put me at the top of the finalist award for that year. I would paste a copy if there’s enough room on here, but just let me know and I’ll be happy to share it with you.
