We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Entity a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.

Entity, appreciate you joining us today. Let’s start with the story of your mission. What should we know?

I’m originally from the inner city of a major city. I was the oldest of three girls. I knew early on that I wanted more than what my environment had to offer, that I wasn’t going to let my circumstance define me, and I needed to be sure that I was a good example to my sisters. I wanted to be sure that I put my self in a position to not only do well, but to also be able to help them and others along the way. I was fortunate to have family and teachers along the way that told me that I could do anything in this life. I’m glad that I believed them, and believed in myself. It was the foundation of everything that was to come. I attended a high school of the arts, which only fed my passion for writing that I’d had since 6 years old, and success. I knew passion alone wouldn’t help me pay for college or allow me to be stable enough for other endeavors, so I left for the Army five days after I graduated high school, and never looked back.
I was injured in Iraq in (OIF1) Operation Iraqi Freedom. That would forever change my life. Some things would never be the same, but some parts of me grew stronger. I added this to my motivation. I healed, on various levels throughout the years, went on to work for the government as a civilian, in various facets, but one thing never changed, my writing and passion to help others. I took on freelance projects throughout it all.
I went on to complete college, and further my career. I decided that it was time to blend my passions of both writing and helping others, and began to offer Writing, Editing and Consulting services to others in 2020, beyond my usual freelancing.
There’s still more chapters to be written in my life, but I’m definitely proud of my story thus far.

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers

I provide Writing(Various), Editing(Various), and Consulting(Business) Services for business owners, and professionals of all types.

I’ve been a Freelance Writer, on the side, since I was 18, no matter what else I was doing in life. In 2020, I took my experience, education, and expertise and decided to offer my services to others, beyond my regular freelancing.

I have a passion for both writing and helping others. This allowed me to do both.

Any advice for growing your clientele? What’s been most effective for you?

I think that my most effective strategy for growing clientele has been online interaction. Getting actively involved on various platforms helped me to attain some of my first new customers, and build some great working relationships.

Where do you think you get most of your clients from?

Referrals and word of mouth have been golden for me. Some of my best clients were referred by other clients, and have become repeat customers. Quality work and good customer service matters. These things will help you grow and succeed.
