Showtime, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. What do you think it takes to be successful?
Hardwork, Dedication and practicing on your craft everyday to get better
As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
I got into the industry at an early age. I was a Ball-boy for the Indiana Pacers during 1989-90. I have established numerous relationships with Pacers Players and front office. I also worked as Cameraman for the Indiana Fever during their Championship run. I was close to Tamicka Catching during that time. After graduating college from IUPUI, I decide to use my media company to gain access for sports stories. showtime arnett sports talk became known around this time and yes, the work was hard and manageable. I started going to sports venues using my media company to work under my own schedule. I always wanted to work for myself, just like my father (Joseph Sr) and uncle (Mike Baird).
I have witnessed at an early age how to become successful by working for self. I already knew what I wanted to become at that age.
I hosted Talent Shows and Poetry Readings at the college for entertainment.
I committed myself to the Indiana Fever as a Media Personal. I was so excited to do this because it was under my name, and I had to report to no one and that made it worthwhile doing what you love to do.
I see this Sports Agent online name Edward Davis based out of Atlanta, Georgia. I read where I can become a Marketing Agent in less than 30 days with the paid Masterclass. I have 6 clients now and looking to progress more in the future.
Can you open up about how you funded your business?
Weird Story: I Showtime Arnett post on social media regularly and it so happens that this kid likes everything I do and post. One day, I received an DM in my inbox talking about,” I like what you do for the kids and you’re doing it without getting paid!” That shows that you love what you’re doing! The kids’ father gave me a check for $5000 dollars and told me to keep doing what I love to do. I was so excited because not even my family would support my dreams like that to honestly give me that type of cash and not ask for it back.
How did you put together the initial capital you needed to start your business?
honestly, THE PPP helped me out to get my studio Downtown and I’m very happy that I qualified for that revenue.
