Hi June , thanks for joining us today. Risk taking is something we’re really interested in and we’d love to hear the story of a risk you’ve taken.

It is safe to assume that taking risks is key to owning your own business but it is also something that carries over into life. There a few things that need to be at play for any action to be considered a risk. Factor number one is that there is a potential for loss. Factor number two there is a potential gain involved.

Starting Rey Signs was one of the most significant risks in my life and I am delighted to have taken it. Along the way, there has been another risk that I need to consider or take. Currently, I will be taking a risk by spending more time on my business youtube channel. I would consider it a calculated risk as the plan is to invest time and energy into creating quality content. This could potentially lead us to gain more followers or be a potential waste of time and resources.

Before committing to taking or avoiding a risk I would recommend considering all outcomes. I have found that once you imagine the positive and negative possibilities the decision becomes less scary.

June , before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?

Rey Signs is in the business of signs, graphics, and branding. I believe what sets our company apart from others is our approach to design and customer service. My introduction to the industry was as a graphic designer. Having a background in graphic design allows me to have the clarity and freedom to create beautiful, functional designs. Another advantage Rey Signs has over others is that we are young blood in an industry that is centuries old. This gives us a lot of room for growth and adaptability. Adaptability is critical to creating the best experience for our clients. We love technology, social media, and finding new ways to stand out in a centuries-old trade. We even have a TikTok for some fun. Rey Signs currently offers the best signs, car wraps, and sticker services in Atlanta.

Alright – let’s talk about marketing or sales – do you have any fun stories about a risk you’ve taken or something else exciting on the sales and marketing side?

My favorite marketing story is that we achieve sales via our @reysigns tik tok. We started out tiktok as a fun way to document our day to day. at Rey Signs However our tiktok is now generating sales for us. We never planned on using tiktok as a means for sales but we are happy we are able to reach new client organically. Client that want to get in contact with us about there next sign, car wrap or sticker project are super happy when they find us on tiktok. The Rey signs tik tok is full of videos show casing a wide range of projects so our client can be confident when trusting us with there next project. Often that most creative projects come from clients who have viewed our tiktoks first. It is awesome to create tik tok and have a positive respond from our followers. We post new projects everyday and reply to all comments this may be another reason why people respond so we well to the Rey Signs tiktok page.

Have any books or other resources had a big impact on you?

Books are key to expanding one’s knowledge personally I read a lot of nonfiction books. My favorite book is David goggins “cant hurt me”. I have read it over at least 3 times. I recommend this book as it encourages mental toughness. Mental toughness is needed to run a business. I also encourage all my Latino business owners to read “Bueno, Bonito y Carito” this book deals with branding, marketing, and sales. The book is in Spanish and focuses on Latino-owned businesses. If non-fiction is not your cup of tea I still recommend picking up and book and getting lost in the page it helps not only grow your knowledge but also allows your brain to relax. I actually prefer to use audiobooks and listen to books while I do long tasks. Audiobooks are how I manage to read multiple books per month.
