We were lucky to catch up with Ray-ven Perry recently and have shared our conversation below.
Ray-ven, appreciate you joining us today. Do you think folks should manage their own social media or hire a professional? What do you do?
I personally manage my social media accounts for my business. Instagram is my favorite and most used platform. Time management is key for creating content, but I enjoy using my creativity.

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
My name is Ray-ven, and I’m the owner of Girly Savage Boutique (girlysavage.com) – an online store. I sell a collection of products for women that includes eyelashes, clothing, accessories, and a few homemade items. Outside of running my business, I work as a marketer for a rehabilitation hospital. I’m super proud that Girly Savage Boutique is glowing and growing by reaching new states this year. I can’t wait to reach all 50 states and sell internationally. Girly Savage Boutique is expanding and adding new entities/branches soon!
We’d love to hear your thoughts about selling platforms like Amazon/Etsy vs selling on your own site.

Where do you think you get most of your clients from?
The best source of new clients for me has been selling my items in multiple places and platforms. I don’t have a storefront just yet, so I sell on multiple platforms (girlysavage.com, Mecari, Etsy), in-person, and pop-up shops. This truly helps me gain new customers, for it brings awareness to my brand and I can easily direct them back to any platform when they’re ready to shop.
