We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Wendy Jones a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.

Wendy, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. We’d love to hear about the things you feel your parents did right and how those things have impacted your career and life.

What my parents did right was show me a great work ethic. My mother worked for almost 40 years at a manufacturer’s plant, while my father has been an entrepreneur his entire life. They show me through their actions, that if you want to change your current circumstances you must work to achieve what you want. My father told me at a very young age, Mother may have, Pappa my have, but god blesses the child that has their own. I was 11 years old. this common but true statement motivated me to start earning my own money.

Wendy, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?

Wendy Jones, is passionate, caring, loving, and moves with integrity. One thing most people do not know about me is what keeps me motivated, I’m here to tell you “Life” one of my beliefs is that life is for living. I wake each morning with that thought on my mind. how will I live out this day? it does matter my mood I turn on my music, and aroma therapy and let the day begin. I got into the non-invasive industry after a health condition did not allow me to stay on in my career in corporate America. I stay disciplined in my faith and allow the transformation to begin, and it did! I master my craft in my newfound career and off I went. Now, Working in my purpose is one of the most fulfilling feeling to have for me. Providing non-invasive body treatments to women to help with self-confidence along with their body images, but educating them along the way. I also train others to become certified and licensed in the Non-invasive Body Contouring Aesthetics Industry. Along with my business in Noninvasive aesthetics, I am also an author I just published my first book. “Just start” is a self-help/ life transformation book. I often get asked the question of what sets me apart from others, I generally respond by saying I’m really not sure but I can say that my work ethic along with my people skills, incorporating treating everyone with professionalism and kindness I think helps set me apart from others. I am most proud of how I Built my company and brand on integrity. One thing I get a lot from my clients and students is how I educate them while they are receiving their treatments or Learning new skill sets in class.

• From the lowest of lows, when my body gave up on me, and I had to undergo surgery, from which I found out that my corporate job is letting me go, my business and passion started, which is Tighten Body Bar.
• To understand why I started TBB, let me tell you a bit more about yours truly. I’m a mom, a grandma, a wife, and a friend who’s always wanted to work in an environment and specialty that gave me freedom and didn’t hold me back.
• I wanted to change people’s lives, and change mine in the process, which is what sparked the starting point for Tighten Body Bar. Today, I help women of all ages regain their confidence and fall back in love with their bodies through non-invasive aesthetic treatments.
• Tighten Body Bar is a representation of me and my own values. I’m in it for the community, for the smile-filled environment, and for the quality work done by passionate individuals who share the same vision as me.
• It’s a place where you come in and feel right at home, with professionals that truly want the best for you, and feel like your own sisterhood that’s here to give you exactly what you need, without breaking your budget.
• That’s what I always strived to create, especially after losing my livelihood and having to start from scratch. I wanted TBB to be a place where people come to heal, recharge, and rejuvenate, and that’s exactly what we have today.

How’d you build such a strong reputation within your market?

What I think helped my reputation within my market is Customer Service along with being honest with people.

Any advice for growing your clientele? What’s been most effective for you?

In my field, the most effective strategy for me was knowledge base and mastering my craft.
