We were lucky to catch up with Ramon and Kuturah Tutwiler recently and have shared our conversation below.
Ramon and Kuturah, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today. Can you tell us about a time that your work has been misunderstood? Why do you think it happened and did any interesting insights emerge from the experience?
We feel some people have a misconception when it comes to the word Hustler.Being a hustler is not determined by your income, status or achievements but it is determined by your ambitions and goals. We want people to understand that as long as you are working hard towards your goals, short term or long term you are a Married Hustler.
Hustler “an aggressively enterprising person”.

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
Our brand Married Hustlers is a joint venture that motivates us to continue to inspire other married couples young and old. We want our followers to understand that we work hard every day to create a life for our family. Every day isn’t the same. One day we are motivated, the next day we aren’t. One day we want to share our story, the next day we don’t. We truly struggle with transparency. We have been through so many changes with family, businesses, money, jobs, and even our kids because life is just unpredictable, unfortunately. But at the end of the day, we choose to do life with each other and work through all of the changes and unpredictable moments together as Married Hustlers.
Is there a particular goal or mission driving your creative journey?
Our goal in 2023, is to help create resources for people in need, by networking with other business owners whether it’s helping people find employment, housing opportunities and business start-up opportunities.
Our mission is to also start coat drives for kids in need.
Networking is important, so we hope to appear at more events across Memphis to meet & greet some of our followers and allow them to purchase Married Hustlers merchandise in person.

We often hear about learning lessons – but just as important is unlearning lessons. Have you ever had to unlearn a lesson?
Family and friends will not support you. They will watch and ask questions when they see you, like “how is that going” or “how is business” but they will not support your brand, no matter how creative. But that doesn’t mean your hustle should stop, keep going and keep hustling.
