We were lucky to catch up with Noelle Casaine recently and have shared our conversation below.
Noelle, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. We’d love to start by getting your thoughts on what you are seeing as some the biggest trends emerging in your industry.
Everyone loves a classic, crisp, clean palate of white floral for their big day, however with this being a trend for so long, it is starting to phase out. Anique Design Flowers loves working with color and unique combinations; new trends are making it easy to do what we love!
A few of the new color trends this year are:
1) Greenspace – Lush and bright greens, hot pinks, rich purples, bold oranges paired with modern black and white patterns.
2) Utilitarian – Simple and upcycled with mustard, emerald, deep yellows, cobalt, complimented by rattan, jute and open air market vibes.
3) Ephemeral – A cozy, bohemian mix with blush tones, terracotta, brick reds, burgundy and stones.
Incorporating color into your event brings a bespoke quality unique to the guest of honor. Color combinations allow for flexibility in our time of price surges and unpredictable weather patterns effecting the flower farms. Anique Design Flowers will bring your dream event to life and exceed your expectations every time with our attention to detail from conditioning your flowers and our distinct eye for artistry.

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers?
I am the owner of Anique Design Flowers, Noelle Anique. Last year, I found the perfect pairing with my sales, customer service and visual arts background. My love for flowers & design led me to create bespoke florals for events and the home.
Living in such uncertain times, many women have stepped out to take a chance on themselves through entrepreneurship and I am proud to say that I am one of them! It has always been a wonder to me what kind of business I would have after working 20 plus years in retail and it is a great feeling to finally find the answer. I have always had a creative eye and mind with hands itching to craft. After years of working with Silk florals for weddings and events, I decided to try out real flowers and I have become truly obsessed in the best way!
I am proud to have many successes this year working with real flowers! This past year and our first in business, we’ve had the pleasure of designing floral décor for 4 weddings, 3 brides and numerous Celebrations and events. To start our second year, we have a introduced ADF merchandise geared to anyone in support of small, Black and Latina, female owned businesses. Along with a few events already on the calendar for 2023 and we look forward to Future Brides, Our community and amazing group of blog subscribers to keep us going strong. We welcome anyone looking to elevate their home décor, an event, memorial service, celebration, engagement to reach out for a consultation and see how we can help make your big day even more special with Anique Design Flowers.
How did you build your audience on social media?
One of the biggest learning lessons I have had recently is that your following does not need to be vast to be successful, the quality of your work needs to be most important. This is what sets apart small businesses from the big dogs! Social media is about who you are, what your prospective clients can expect when choosing your services or products, in my case as a floral designer I fulfill both. I do my best to show content relating to my day to day processes with designs from behind the scene videos showcasing what all goes into each design. It is also a goal to show the finished products and event décor installations. Most of all to have FUN with it and be true to myself.

Where do you think you get most of your clients from?
The best source of new clients come from a few different sources since our product and service offerings are pretty vast. Our event décor clients mostly come from local event planners whom we partner with. When planning an event it is recommended to hire an event planner and then your floral designer. Without having an event planner many components of the decor can be left out and assumed to be provided by us. While we do go above and beyond to make your event as beautiful as possible we cannot guarantee the entire event logistics and elements. Some of what we can provide are faux floral, table runners, arbor drapery outside of florals and associated hard goods (vases, trumpets, arbors, hoops and arches to name a few). So it is best to have an event planner secured or we can refer you to one that we partner with.
For our Arrangements most of our clients come from google searches, Being a Black & Latina, LGBTQIA ally and Female owned is not easy to come by and we are so thankful to have a community and customer base who supports us.
