We recently connected with Ariel Richardson and have shared our conversation below.
Ariel , thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today Risking taking is a huge part of most people’s story but too often society overlooks those risks and only focuses on where you are today. Can you talk to us about a risk you’ve taken – it could be a big risk or a small one – but walk us through the backstory.
Taking a risk for me was pretty simple. I put my whole trust in God and I quite my good paying job with excellent benefits of 4 years . After having my second child didn’t ask any questions . Just left to chase my dream my career my lifestyle. The Bible says “faith without works is dead James 2:26 “ In order to fully be who God has called me to be I had to walk out on Faith with out questioning God. Not worrying about how I was going to pay my bills not worrying about where my next meal was going to come from. Not worrying how my kids was going to be taken care of if I had no job no unemployment. I put God in control. I took a risk and have been trusting him since also I’ve watched him expand my company from just charm bracelets, shades and lashes but now into a whole hair company that offers services.
Ariel , love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
Hi Im Ariel E Richardson , It all started with She did it which is my charm bracelet company . My Company is proud to announce that we are expanding and have added a new business Arich Experience which provides hair services as well as hair products we will be introduced. I believe that doing hair would always be my career and one day I will eventually become wealthy from it. Even as a young lady growing up I loved to do hair I loved just to see people happy about getting their hair done I loved it so much that I would do close friends hair for FREE that’s right FREE. I always dreamed of opening my own salon. Arich Experience Coming Soon February 2023. I have always had a passion to do hair but not just anyone’s hair. I have a target audience. I also only want clients that are God sent which means (Consistent ). What sets me apart from other hairstyles is that you are able to bring your children to you appointments with you often times when you get your hair done you are unable to bring you children. Most people aren’t able to find baby sitters which causes them to have to cancel their appointments. I am a firm believer “when you look good you feel good”. So if a client has to cancel due to no one being able to keep their children most of the time it causes them to go back to step one (depression, not feeling beautiful, low self esteem. Anxiety , angry ) . Our companies ultimate goal is to make sure you don’t leave the same way you came.
We’d love to hear the story of how you turned a side-hustle into a something much bigger.
My side hustle turned into my permanent career by taking a leap of faith and operating in the gift that I was birth with . I put my whole trust in God and went after what he had already set up for me to become wealthy from. I have always had a passion for doing hair I have always had a passion of making people feel like they was somebody. I have overcome so many fears and doubts that anything is possible if you believe. As a young mother I would have never imagined of being where I am today. I had to think bigger than just a regular 9-5. It was time for me to set up generational wealth not just for my boys but for my nieces and my grandchildren and great grandchildren children. Building them so they never have to work for anybody if they don’t won’t to.
How did you put together the initial capital you needed to start your business?
Funding my business was pretty rocky but with the support of the people around me sowing into my company everything was pretty smooth. I typically would use my 9-5 paycheck to fund my company to buy products to buy the things i need to have a successful company.
