We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Bobbi Rae. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Bobbi below.
Bobbi, appreciate you joining us today. Are you happier as a creative? Do you sometimes think about what it would be like to just have a regular job? Can you talk to us about how you think through these emotions?
I am very happy as an artist and creative, nothing compares to what I experience through this career choice. but I actually served in the Airforce 4 years, a technician at Apple, and many other “regular jobs” and I always find myself back to music, creating, and the stage! Yes sometimes I do wonder what life would have been like for me if I just worked a regular job, but in the midst of those thoughts I don’t think I would’ve been happy, I literally believe I was born to connect people creatively, evoke emotions.
Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers
for the Folks who don’t know me, Bobbi Rae hailing from a Small Town Called Slidell, (40 min outside of New Orleans) from what my parents tell me I have always been into music, around the house singing and outspoken. I was homeschooled up until the 6th grade, my mom was an educator with a minor in psychology, and My father also College graduate, outside his Medical Job was into Agriculture so my childhood was full of adventure, and very cultured. my parents had my siblings and I in Piano classes, which was the beginning of my love for music and music understanding! A fond memory for me was my dad playing vinyl on the weekends with Donny Hathaway, Mahalia Jackson, Michael Jackson , Patty LaBelle, and many more, I fell in love with soul music, passion music. I later joined my church choir, and then found a love for the spirituality that was deeply rooted in music. fast forward in high school I was in the choir, did talent shows, and local church events. my first time, recording music was when I was 16 and fell in love , Fast Forward 2016 Bobbi Rae the artist was born and I was ready to hit the stage! No to answer the Other questions. My discipline is singing/Songwriting and Guitarist, I perform Live shows, for weddings, Proposals, and a recording artist with original music. Music as a whole is a problem solver. some of my favorite performances have been proposals, when I’ve written personalized songs to create a special moment. 2019I traveled to Brazil to tour with a Brazilian band, it was a complete different experience for me, because they did not speak english, and even with that barrier but they were the most interactive crowd i’ve every experienced. they danced with me they sang with me they were there for the music, the energy, and when I traveled back this year 2022 it was the same love!!! I think what sets me apart is my level of empathy and ability to evoke emotions and see the audience lock in with me as the show progress! I’m most proud that I chose what my heart wanted while on this earth and really believed and still believe in myself. I want my fans to know that my brand Bobbi Rae Music LLC represents, courage, discipline, passion, you have the ability to go after what you want and succeed, and all I want to do is spread love and heal hearts through music,

What can society do to ensure an environment that’s helpful to artists and creatives?
Even though the industry still have record deal, Independent artist are starting to take control of their own careers, branding, music distribution and content. I would like to see more hands on resources ( classes, workshops etc…) to Help local artist in proper branding, how to get in the overseas markets, how to tap into festivals, booking agency, budgeting, music business
What do you find most rewarding about being a creative?
what is most rewarding is when I evoke emotions and see people release tension, tears, laughter, excitement during a performance…we all need music, the entire world NEEDS music. No debate
