Alright, Terri thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. To kick things off, we’d love to hear about things you or your brand do that diverge from the industry standard.
I strive to provide excellent customer service for every client that reaches out. Part of that is ensuring every client receives prompt and detailed responses regarding their inquiries, asking relevant questions, communicating throughout the process, and sometimes experimenting with different supplies and ingredients. I’m always looking for ways to form wow factors with the cocktails I create. I think of ways to elevate the presentation and service, which in return, elevates the experience for the guests. Every event is unique and I use that to come up with creative cocktail names, custom menus, quality ingredients, and fresh and fun garnishes. All of these things help create impressive cocktails and service
As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your background and context?
My name is Terri Campbell and I am the founder of Lush Libations. I started off mixing cocktails at events for family and friends. It was something I enjoyed because of the endless possibilities. In 2015, I took a mixology class in San Juan while on vacation, and fell in love with the art and science of mixing cocktails. That was the year that Lush Libations was born.
Lush Libations is a luxury mobile bartending service. We provide signature, hand crafted cocktails for a variety of events and occasions.
When someone books my services, they are hiring me to provide a service that will help make their event special. I take pride in that. I also pride myself in elevating events by being creative and focusing on fine details. I talk to my clients about their vision, the occasion, the colors/theme, and special request. By doing this, I am able to create a unique experience for every client.
How’d you build such a strong reputation within your market?
Innovation, quality products and services, time, and consistency all helped build my reputation. When I started my business in 2015, Lush Libations was a trail blazer. People in my area had never seen anything like it, unless they were out of town. Over the years, I’ve remained consistent but also found ways improve.
We’d love to hear a story of resilience from your journey.
This has been the slowest year for Lush Libations, but I still feel like there are a slew of opportunities that I haven’t tapped into. Mobile bartending is a niche occupation but it continues to grow. I want to enter into a new market to do more corporate and formal events. This has been a goal for a couple years and I’m still figuring out how to do it successfully. Despite being slow, I remain grateful knowing that what is for me will not pass me as long as I do my part. Even though my business was not profiting, I decided to hire a marketing consultant to help with advertising, website, creating content, and target marketing. Put money into a photographer, new supplies, and staff. Although, I have not seen the fruits of those investments, I believe in my brand, skills, and myself enough to keep pushing the Lush Libations experience. The best is yet to come.
