We recently connected with Los Turulecos 3D and have shared our conversation below.

Hi Los Turulecos , thanks for joining us today. How did you come up with the idea for your business?

Well, I always had the initiative… initiative to discover, create and being able to make something on my own. So, the pandemic came and all of the sudden had a lot free time, so I took this opportunity to emerge myself in a world of 3D printing and then the idea of buying my own printer became a reality. The beginnings weren’t easy, me and my girlfriend, Connie, became partners in this adventure and all of the sudden we found ourselves in a world that we were not familiar with, not many people knew what 3d printing was, so the struggles at the beginning were hard to overcome, but with time we started to gain more knowledge and confidence. Soon enough we realized that with a 3D printing you actually can do whatever you want you are limited only by your imagination, this is the reason that we believe that this business is worth it.
At the beginning we ran in to the problem that there were designs available on the internet that all makers were doing so in no time we realized that we can learn how to make the designs from the scratch, which means that we design them, that’s the thing that distinguishes us from the other makers.

Los Turulecos , before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?

We got into the world of 3d by realizing that with these skills you have infinite options, you can print whatever you like. What we can print in 3d is almost everything, we specialize in modeling, design and 3d print.
For example, there is a person that come to us with an idea, we provide them with a design we can change things, personalize everything for the person, or even design it from the beginning just as the client wants it.
We are so proud of ourselves and the progress we made, imagining that two years ago we knew nothing and now we can resolve all our problems on our own, without help of others.

How did you build your audience on social media?

Well, to start we realized that we love to see how the things are made so we decided to incorporate the element of “making” in our social media, means we started making reels of how the printings are made and the processes of every stage of the work, starting with printing polishing painting everything, and we can see that people are interested in how the products are developed. And our advice is don’t get discouraged, the things aren’t done in one day, be constant and present.

What’s been the best source of new clients for you?

Little by little we became known in the circles of 3d printing and social media, and the invitations to events were flying in. We started to attend the marketplaces dedicated to a young entrepreneur and those were the most amazing experiences, we made new friends, people were interested in our products and of course, the exposure gave us a new public and opportunities.
