We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Michelle a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
Michelle, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. Can you take us back in time to the first dollar you earned as a creative – how did it happen? What’s the story?
The first dollar I earned was in 2019 from a lady that did custom shoes. It made me so happy to know that someone would trust me with their creative vision

Michelle, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
My name is Michelle. I’m 32 with 1 10 year old daughter. I’ve always loved to draw, design, and create. In middle school, I took a videographer class where I learned to edit videos/movies through camcorder, computer, and VHS. Today, I create logos, flyers, business cards, labels, music Coverart, videos, content creation, and more. I help my clients stand out among their competitors and feel good in their branding. I want my clients to trust that I will bring their vision to life.
What’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative in your experience?
I love seeing my work being shared on platforms. I love seeing business owners taking their branding material and using it to create successful business ventures.

How can we best help foster a strong, supportive environment for artists and creatives?
I just need people to understand that what we do is hard work. We are not “just behind a computer”. The resources to create your beautiful artwork are expensive, so please remember and help us by sharing our work and referring when possible.
