We were lucky to catch up with LaBriante Mitchell recently and have shared our conversation below.

Alright, LaBriante thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. Do you wish you had started sooner?

The school where I attended high school was a performing arts school. As a result, I studied fashion design and applied design. During this experience, I gained a more in-depth knowledge of jewelry making and jewelry. I always had a love for jewelry. Playing dress-up and trying on jewelry with my grandmothers are some of my fondest memories. Through jewelry and accessories, they taught me self-confidence and self-awareness. In my senior year, I began thinking about my future and decided to take a more traditional route and study Elementary Education. In the aftermath of becoming a single mother, facing adversity, and losing myself in all honesty, I felt like something was missing. . During the Pandemic, I picked up my hobby of jewelry making.
The feeling I felt was the same as when I was 16 years old and in Applied Design class wide-eyed and eager to learn and create.
My journey to where I am today has brought me no regrets. Despite my efforts to suppress my creativity, it is alive and thriving.

Being a woman who loves jewelry, but is allergic to different metals, my goal is to provide our customers with affordable luxury jewelry with outstanding ethics intact

accessories that speak style and creativity. It is a lifestyle that aims to step outside the norm while
focusing on artistic influence, originality, and bold innovation. With products ranging from elaborate
earrings to conversation-starting handbags, The Luxurious Bohemian can style
anyone who wants to embody bold and influential elegance. With my brand, I want to
empower women from all walks of life by reminding them that they are valuable and worthy of a
life of luxury regardless of circumstances

What’s a lesson you had to unlearn and what’s the backstory?

Nothing is perfect in business!

I have struggled with being a perfectionist. I’m learning that mistakes are a part of this process.
There are days when I want to walk away, but this is my purpose and legacy.
Walking away from Luxurious Bohemian would be like walking away from myself.

Any insights you can share with us about how you built up your social media presence?

Being authentic has allowed me to build an audience. There is a natural gravitation toward me among my audience.

Developing a strong social media presence is still a work in progress for me.
It’s all about aesthetics. In order to capture your audience immediately, you need to be able to grab their attention
