We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Ali Ashtigo. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Ali below.

Ali , appreciate you joining us today. Can you talk to us about how you’ve thought about whether to sign with an agent or manager?

I signed with East Coast Talent with Barbara Garvey back in 2015 when I was 24. That was when my professional acting career started I was referred to her by my best friend/business partner William Bush Anderson. Wanted to start here cause I had a connection here and I knew if I wanted to do professional acting I would need an agent also with Barbara it felt right compared to other agents at the time. I believe they decided to work with me because the saw potential in my look and then my acting ability from the monologue and head shots I submitted.

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.

I do A LOT. Of course not at the point of my Acting/Producing Career to be full time yet. One part owner of a family business called Decor Blinds, Shutters and Shades since 1986. We sell window treatments for residential homes and commercial. I sell business to business Software for Seamless.AI currently as an Account Executive this is my main income I am very skilled at Sales. I really mastered my sales craft working for Grant Cardone in Miami for almost a year where I worked on his Sales Team around a year and a half ago. This is where my life really changed and I gained a lot more confidence and drive to be a better sales and business person. I had to come back to Georgia for family reasons but it was for the best also because I didn’t miss my craft and being able to Act. Coming back to GA I quickly started a commercial that I booked and started producing the very well known “Lanier Movie” as Executive Producer & Lead Actor. This movie will be a horror/thriller and touch on the history of Oscarville GA and how haunted Lake Lanier is. It is making a LOT of noise in Georgia and parts of the south, 30,000 followers on our FB page 6K + on IG and also on TikTok and YouTube you can see trailer on YouTube, FB & IG. This movie is set to release by end of 2023. In other exciting news I also landed Modeling for D&K Suit City. Where you can see me on Billboards and Ads parts of Metro Atlanta.

For you, what’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative?

The most rewarding aspect of being an Artist is simple no one can ever take away what movie, commercial or modeling job you ever worked. Money can always be taken away from you no matter how much of it you make your Craft can never leave you it stays with you for life.

Do you think there is something that non-creatives might struggle to understand about your journey as a creative? Maybe you can shed some light?

Non Creatives have always judged me for the most part aside from ones that show me support. A lot don’t get it and want to judge you in your humble beginning until they see you get real wins then they all start to watch. Also I believe a lot of non creatives don’t like seeing others do more than just the norm, being a slave to money.
