We caught up with the brilliant and insightful B. Trenton a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.

Alright, B. thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. Did you always know you wanted to pursue a creative or artistic career? When did you first know?

I’ve been singing for most of my life but never had a passion for it until I started finding my voice around my college years. I can’t remember the exact name of the class, it may have been Creative Writing, but my professor complimented a paper I’d written and mentioned I should consider taking writing more seriously. It was a confirmation I didn’t know I needed.

B., before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?

I’m a singer-songwriter and I pretty much just started creating and decided to finally put something out. Thankfully I’ve been able to reach the ears of some who like what I do and they’ve helped put me in a position to reach a wider audience. Still just starting so I’m enjoying the process.

Alright – so here’s a fun one. What do you think about NFTs?

I think NFT’s could become a powerful resource for artists. I feel we’re still in very shallow water in terms of the potential for NFT’s but I can see how they could allow artists more ownership of their work, They could also help redefine what success looks like and bring about more genuine connections with artists and their supporters.

For you, what’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative?

Just being able to express myself freely. Creating is therapeutic for me so having a gift that not only serves me but serves others makes the journey and the days that seem bad in the moment that much more worth it.
