We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Anthony Zamora. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Anthony below.
Anthony, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. Before we get into specifics, let’s talk about success more generally. What do you think it takes to be successful?
I have seen so many different answers to this particular quesstion. Some say it takes hard work, dedication and self discipline. Others say success is a state of mind where what you do is what makes you happy the most, where you feel free and in control of things. I personally think that those who are or feel trully successful on what they do is because they do it with love and with passion. They also find meaning a purpose and a reason to keep going, to keep trying to improve every day to do better. Always looking for oportunities to serve others to go the extra mile and feel acomplished. Success is not a final destination, success its an every day jorney.

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers
Since I was really young I’ve always had the desire to have my own little business. I wanted to have a place where I could grow and learn from others. A place where I could feel like I had a purpose and to be part of something bigger than me. A place where I could make a living doing the things I love that would bring joy and happiness to my life. For a long time, I couldn’t figure out what that calling was. I’ve tried many things, always looking for that opportunity here and there but even though I found things that were really good however, they didn’t feel right for me. After a few months, the magic was gone and it wasn’t the right fit for me, till one day after work I saw someone selling a really nice Nikon camera on the Facebook market, so I thought about it and said to my self “why not let’s give it a try” so, I bought it. I started photography as hobby just for fun nothing serious. I remember taking photos of random landscapes hoping one day I would get featured on National Geographic but of course that never happened. I would often ask friends to come out and model for me when we had free time. For the first time ever, I felt like I was doing the right thing and I said to myself this “can’t be, why does this feel so right” it was one of those AHA! moments in my life.
Now five years later, it still feels right and even better now as a full-time job. The dream finally came true of course, it wasn’t easy nothing is. After online classes and hundreds of tutorials, I can honestly say it was all worth it! I love what I do! Photography is amazing! I love capturing special moments of special people which will last many lifetimes. A wedding, a quinceañera, or a simple family photoshoot it doesn’t matter. I love doing photography it always feels right to be there.
Where do you think you get most of your clients from?
The best source of new clients I have had the pleasure of working with came from referals from previous cleints. Its always great to know how much my clients appreciated my work and referred me to their friends/family to capture their special moments in their lives.

Any insights you can share with us about how you built up your social media presence?
About six years ago I took a risk of quitting my full time job to purse my dreams of becoming a photographer. Back then social media wasnt as large of a platform that it is now. However I thought to myself what was the best social media platform to show my work. I decided to create an instagram account dedicated to my photography work. When instagram was only to highlight artist’s work. From that point I made a facebook account for my photography business and took off from there.
From my experience ive learned that usuing hastags and tagging your clients on social media on their photos posts can gain a lot more exposure to your work. Also being consistant in your posts. The more you post and engage with your followers the more potencial clients you may get.
