We were lucky to catch up with Andrew Grayson recently and have shared our conversation below.
Andrew , appreciate you joining us today. What do you think it takes to be successful?
In order to be successful you have to stand out, be weird, learn to fail, and learn to get comfortable with being uncomfortable. In order to become something you never been, you have to do things you’ve never done. There’s no recipe for how to be successful, if you ask 100 people what it means to be successful, you’ll get 100 different answers. To me being successful is as simple as being truly happy every day with what you’re doing as you’re “job”. I worked in healthcare before starting Six Pack Coverage and thought it was a fine job, paid well, and I thought I was happy but the feeling doesn’t come close to the joy I have in what I do now.
To be successful you have to learn to fail and learn that success is long term game, I’ve realized that being successful means going out of your comfort zone and putting in much more work than what is typically required.

Andrew , love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
Six Pack Coverage is a multimedia company that focuses on the Six most important aspects of life: Sports, Finance, Fitness, Food/Travel, Entertainment, and College. Through each of these pillars we have built a team dedicated to providing our audience with articles, podcasts, blogs, videos, interviews, and more. We have a variety of professional athletes, social media influencers, and respected writers that provide with you genuine and honest news and advice.
What sets us apart from other companies is that we don’t cater to a specific demographic or audience, there is no hidden political agenda, and we cover more than just one standard topic. We want our audience to learn and better themselves from our website whether that is a college student or a retired man/woman. There is something for everyone at Six Pack Coverage.
I started Six Pack Coverage during the COVID-19 pandemic while living at my parents’ house. It wasn’t exactly the “perfect” time to start a business but that fueled my desire to want to try even more. I converted the 4×4 closet in my childhood bedroom into an “office” while simultaneously enrolled in a Master’s Program. Coming from a strong healthcare background with zero business knowledge, I was aware of the challenges I was about to embrace. Through months of little sleep and a slight caffeine addiction, I started from the ground up, from designing a website, learning to advertise, nonstop emails and phone calls, and most importantly a few great friends constantly encouraging me.
From operating in a 4×4 closet in my parents’ house to upgrading to now my garage in Nashville, we are quickly gaining traction and have no plans to take our foot off the gas. Currently, we reach over 125,000 people across our platforms and over 2 million on a monthly basis and I’m blessed to have the greatest team I could ever ask for. We have 307 student interns across 37 college campuses and 31 people on the Six Pack Coverage roster.
Any thoughts, advice, or strategies you can share for fostering brand loyalty?
Consistently checking in with my sponsors, brands, companies more than what is required. I call and talk to all of our partners/brands on a weekly basis just to maintain a positive relationship within our businesses as well as to stay in touch with how their business is growing and how we can continue to improve and provide value to them.

Have any books or other resources had a big impact on you?
Alex Hormozi, Brad Lea, Jeffrey Fox, and Darren Hardy. I think it is important to constantly be learning and bettering yourself through books, podcasts, or other informational methods.
