We recently connected with Ty’Quanisha Arrington and have shared our conversation below.
Hi Ty’Quanisha, thanks for joining us today. Let’s go back in time a bit – can you share a story of a time when you learned an important lesson during your education?
So throughout my years in school, I was a class clown and never cared about much of anything. I remember in the 12th grade when a teacher pulled me aside and said ” this is the year you are supposed to leave. You’re a smart girl Ty don’t let the opportunity pass you by.”
Just that alone in a short time I got it together. Not for my family, friends, and boyfriend at the time but for me. My future depended on it.
I later graduated class of 2014.
During the short period up till this day, I learned that you have to put yourself first even if that means separating from others. Had I not buckled down and stopped caring I would not be where I am today,

Ty’Quanisha, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
How I got into I makeup shortly after my grandfather died in 2013 it became something therapeutic during the time until it was every day and eventually stopped for years after and never picked a brush up until 2019.
During this time I had just had my son and my husband went and left for the military I eventually came across my mentor Bridgette Davis of Wink4me Cosmetics who I currently PR for,
I took classes advancing my craft and it further led to content creating within the beauty community where I’ve me some of the most talented bosses there are.
I never had thought of running a business until hearing people “why” as to why they created their business it wasn’t for them but for their direct audience solving a problem.
Being the type of person I am. I love to help people, even enjoyed teaching what I’ve learned to others.
Eventually having a light bulb moment helping my mom and decided why not move further helping others in a bigger way.
This is when I researched and got my LLC for Perfectly Imperfect Skin & Beauty
Perfectly Imperfect Skin & Beauty, LLC is grounded on philanthropy, identifying potential in everyone, and overlooking the flaws we as people carry. Overcoming insecurities starts by loving the real you and accepting any and all flawed areas.
I may not be able to change the world all at once, but being able to give the most minor things to others is a start. I am known for my kindness and for being there for others when needed, what sets me apart from others is I believe that everyone has good intentions and doesn’t know how to go about it.
I have to say I’m proud of stepping out of comfortability to work on something beneficial to people who wants to know how to not only love their skin but learn to take care of their skin with affordable quality products.
Perfectly Imperfect Skin & Beauty is dedicated to helping people understand that their skin doesn’t have to be a flaw anymore. Being I have problematic skin as well as some in my family. I wanted to find a solution to this problem to not only help myself but others who may struggle with problematic skin. With that being said Perfectly Imperfect Skin & Beauty, LLC has been created. I have not launched this beauty yet, but it’s in the works and will be coming soon.

We’d love to hear the story of how you built up your social media audience?
Social media will always be a go-to these days it’s not putting ads in the paper to build you.
What I’ve learned is that CONSISTENCY is the number 1 thing If you are not consistent nobody will care about what you have to offer let alone presence.
Interaction is number 2 if you’re not a people person but want a high social media presence it will not happen unless you go viral from something.
People love that you interact with them, and boost them up the same way they boost you up, shower them with love the same way they do you.
Number 3 -are you going by what’s trending or staying stuck in the past? Oddly people look into this and some may leave based on this.
Number 4 – Don’t care about numbers. The numbers will grow over time. Be patient with yourself.
Number 5- Maintain content.
Have any books or other resources had a big impact on you?
There is a book my mentor referred to me that was created by her financial coach called Born to Multiply by LaShawne Holland. An amazing stater book.
Current a winner of 2022 for AMSE which has been truly phenomenal for military spouses regarding entrepreneurship allowing you to network in the process.
Just alone with these 2, I have learned way more than what I’ve learned researching on my own and always suggest to anyone who has a business or is thinking about starting one.
I’ve learned how the ways of running a successful business without the headache of being able to bring in multiple strands of income by just simply doing things the right way beforehand.
This helps me in the baby stages of my business.
