We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Eliud Sanchez Jr. . We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Eliud below.
Hi Eliud , thanks for joining us today. Risking taking is a huge part of most people’s story but too often society overlooks those risks and only focuses on where you are today. Can you talk to us about a risk you’ve taken – it could be a big risk or a small one – but walk us through the backstory.
I believe that everyone should progress and look for new opportunities in their career. At one point in my life I just knew that making music was all I wanted to do…it’s what I felt I was best at. Until one day I was talking with a fellow artist who was at a very low point in their life and wanted to advance their acting career, but hit a major roadblock. I took the risk in saying, “let’s film something right now!”
Little did I know that risk would change the way I viewed myself and my career development.
Since then I have directed, acted, written, edited and produced multiple scenes under the TRUSS umbrella.
Eliud , before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
Most people in the music industry know me as Sinis. I have a discography that dates back to 2005. Now that I’ve formed SinisWorld LLC, I’m able to help coordinate tours, manage artists, and develop productions. I have stepped out of the artist role into a more administrative position with TRUSS. When people see the name, it’s significant and the brand is prominent. “People know if it ain’t about TRUSS…it ain’t about us!”
How about pivoting – can you share the story of a time you’ve had to pivot?
I would say right now is the pivot point. As a team, we are doing things out of our comfort zone and seeing results. The TWITCH platform has given us a new way to express our music experiences and views. From a personal standpoint, I have gotten more into acting and developing my skills on a theatre stage.
We’d love to hear about you met your business partner.
I met King TRUSS through a mutual friend, my big bro Lou H. Rodriguez. I stress the H because we would always make fun of each other, because of our government names. I can’t give you Lou’s middle name…you have to ask him haha.
Now King TRUSS goes by JC, but he was introduced to me as Conway over 20 years ago. Some time had passed in between when I first met him and the first thing I said to him when I talked to him was, “What up Conway?”
We’ve been brothers ever since.
