Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Bobby Santacroce . We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Bobby , appreciate you joining us today. What do you think matters most in terms of achieving success?
It takes Drive motivation and inspiration to become successful but more importantly it takes the desire to get up no matter how many times you get knocked down the important thing is that you immediately get back up on your feet and put one foot in front of the other as you move forward. Action is the most impactful factor if success thing that a business owner can do.
Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
I am a homegrown local self-taught chef. I am an entrepreneur first who has always had a passion for food which my grandmother’s on both sides of my family instilled in me at a young age. I learned my love for food and of food from my two grandmothers. I’m Italian and Sicilian it doesn’t get much better than that. I am in the mobile food industry I own a food trailer I also own an ice cream truck selling novelty ice cream and hand dipped ice cream cones and I run a catering service as well. We have grown because of our outside of the box thinking and our quality and service standards which are so high comparative to others in my field in our market. Some of the things that set us apart is that we have really settled into our niche of quality over quantity and we really focus on the items that we serve to the table or out of our window. Many times people get caught up in the crunching the numbers and all of that and they’re more worried about the profitability or the margin on a certain item as opposed to what we do which is we do our best and we charge a premium for our product we demand a premium for our product. We at Bobby’s Food Co so from myself and I’m down all across every part of the team that I have assembled we are focused on providing a service to our clients that they can’t get anywhere else. Most of the time our food sets us apart but all of the time our service quality sets us apart. We also focus on quality of ingredients we utilize as many local produce Growers and farmers and Ranchers as we can. Another thing that sets us apart from our local competition and also from the other local Foodies in the area is our always prepared mindset. We don’t worry about what anyone else is doing we worry about what we are doing and we try to do it the best that we can. I have learned the hard way that you can’t have luck if you’re not prepared. There’s a saying out there that says luck favors the prepared I say forget all that nonsense the prepared will always Dominate and be successful. Most times opportunity is disguised as luck just be ready to take advantage of every opportunity that is put in front of you and take double advantage of every opportunity that you create for yourself. Just this mindset is what sets us apart.
Are there any books, videos or other content that you feel have meaningfully impacted your thinking?
Yes, I went down to Dallas Texas and did a rise up Kings event it is a three-day boot camp based on four pillars the four pillars being faith, family, fitness, finance. That 3-day boot camp was the most impactful thing that I did in my life and it really changed a lot of my mindset all for the better. I believe that your business will grow and be as prosperous and be equal to the amount of work that you put into your own personal growth. Many people want the end reward but they get scared of the journey don’t be one of those people. Be a warrior in a garden not a gardener in a war.
Let’s talk about resilience next – do you have a story you can share with us?
The food game is a very tough business and when you add mobile to the front of that so the Mobile Food game is extremely difficult because most times the water’s at your treading in haven’t been navigated before and if they have been nothing’s been documented for the most part. We have a lot of enemies out there as far as enemies being brick and mortar locations that don’t want food trucks around or food trailers around etc etc the list goes on and on with things of that nature. And on top of that most people think that we have some type of Bill fairy that comes and pays all of our bills every month and that magically we somehow get food at such a drastically reduced rate that they think we should give it away in our services should be provided for almost free. So I would say that educating the public in educating our clients on a pace by case basis is a huge part of our business so communication is key. And just having to beat your head against the same wall over and over and over when a different perspective client calls and you have to go over the same things over and over and over it does take a fair amount of resilience to continue doing that day after day after day. And on top of that there is overhead, bills, taking care of your family, family time, all of these things all have to be managed perfectly or you have a huge Quagmire and a huge mess on your hands so I would have to say staying strong and standing firm even through all the difficulties is why I chose this question. We have to stay resilient and strong and full of fortitude every single day in order to do what we do
