We recently connected with Brooke Davis and have shared our conversation below.
Brooke, appreciate you joining us today. Let’s start with the story of your mission. What should we know?
For my family centered photography my mission is to recognize just how messy life can be and often the days are long and the years are fast. As a photographer, I encourage families to slow down and collect some moments. I want them to look back at their photos and feel joy, to recognize that the story of their life is being written.
When it comes to my branding clients, my mission is to help them tell the story of their business in a more humanizing way. As businesses show up authentically they build an audience that can’t help but sing their praises. Those stories can be communicated through personal brand photography.

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers
I am a lifestyle family and branding photographer who loves the outdoors, chasing light and capturing beautiful, authentic, and creative stories.
On a more personal note, while originally from Colorado, we now call the beautiful Village of Mount Horeb, Wisconsin home. The hubby & I, along with our five littles (yep, you read that right) moved for a new opportunity and the adventure was too good to resist.
I got into photography after having my second child. I relished the idea of having memories of their childhood and wanted to be the curator of those moments. I was in my senior year of college at the University of Colorado at Denver, getting my bachelors in English Literature when I told my husband that I wanted to be a photographer instead of pursuing my teaching degree after graduation. Black Friday just so happened to be around the corner and a Canon Rebel was on sale – so we bought my first camera and I started to learn how to use it. I upgraded my gear not to long after that and have allowed my style to evolve and emerge.
I feel what sets me apart from others is my desire to see poetic moments in my sessions, to be patient when all chaos breaks loose – with children that happens a lot. Being a mother of five has taught me to embrace chaos, even if it does me in, and to let children be who they are.
What do you find most rewarding about being a creative?
The ability to evolve and explore. With photography, every story is different. We may think all families and businesses look a like – but they don’t and that’s what makes each session a new adventure. As an artist and creator I get to push the boundaries of art with personal projects and bring that into my work. It gives an incredible sense of freedom of expression that feeds my soul.

We’d love to hear about how you keep in touch with clients.
We become friends. With social media it has become so easy to get glimpses into each others lives. I become intentional in interacting with them by commenting on their posts or sending private messages. I like to celebrate with them and cheer on their children with the moments they share.
I’m still learning ways to foster brand loyalty – but overall I think it’s just that I show them how much I care about them, With businesses I work with – I always make sure to shout them out on my social media. If someone asks for a recommendation then I share their information. I take every opportunity to help them succeed.
