Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Jessica Princinsky. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Alright, Jessica thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. Let’s start with the story of your mission. What should we know?
The story behind my companies brand and mission has certainly evolved in the last few years. What planted the seed was my brother’s death in 2020. When someone you love dies, all you have left are the pictures and memories. When my brother passed away, my family and I were so nervous to even touch all of the photos of him, it was as if we were gazing at piles of gold. One significant regret was not having enough pictures with him. His life and his loss of life created such an impact on us, and I knew that I wanted to do something in memory of him while I am still on this earth.
Every day, every photograph of families and weddings that I take, I do it knowing that these images are incredibly important and will last a lifetime. Photography provides me with the tools to encourage love, family, and togetherness. I think that life can throw so much pain at us, but love is what gets us through. Ultimately, my mission is to love and inspire love.
Jessica, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
I am a Photographer specializing in Family and Wedding Photography. This includes family sessions, maternity, engagement, senior, and wedding photography. My style of photography is journalist inspired where there is a mix of candid and formal photos to illustrate your life experiences that are unique to you. I care so much about my clients, that I always go above and beyond for them because I want them to have the best experience possible. I want them to know that I care deeply about them and will do whatever it takes to meet their wants and needs.
What do you find most rewarding about being a creative?
Whenever I snap the perfect shot with my clients, a jolt of excitement runs through me. The perfect shot usually occurs when I have fully captured who someone is, in their natural and happy state. I tell them how amazing they look in the photos that I take, and I really enjoy lifting others up. That is the most rewarding to me: being in a position to show people how amazing they really are.
Have you ever had to pivot?
When I first began taking pictures, I was not sure where to begin. I knew that I loved it, but there were so many opportunities! I considered all of the options – product photography, food photography, selling photos online, pet photography, etc. It took some time to figure out what I wanted to focus on. Through some soul searching and reflection, I learned that I wanted to photograph what was most important to me which I learned was: Love and Family.
