We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Faye Morgan a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.

Faye, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. One of the most important things we can do as business owners is ensure that our customers feel appreciated. What’s something you’ve done or seen a business owner do to help a customer feel valued?

Each month our goal is to reach an audience we haven’t reach before ! We want to be able to show others they are never alone when it comes to skin care and body care issues . So each month , we market an giveaway rather it is at a Pop Up Event , Community Outreach or through our social media platforms . The key is to introduce them to plant based , sulfate free and non toxic products that are safe to put on there bodies each and everyday . So far we have reach over 3,000 individuals through our platform. We can not wait to each more !

Faye, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?

Lemonade No Sugar is a handcrafted, natural herbalist skincare and body care brand that makes products for sensitive and eczema prone skin . We make products such as soap bars , lotions , creme , facial care and so much more ! Our story started with own personal issues of dealing with severe eczema. It would make me feel insecure and not happy to see my skin looking so bad . So ,after a while of researching and discovering formulas that worked for me . I created my first batch of products to sell and give to my family members. The first event I attended was a Pop up event held by Shop Made in Memphis with my mom business Nuthgbutshugggahh Clothing. The event exposed me to the potential I had not only for myself but for my business as well . My favorite part of the events were meeting new people and other business owners out there . It let me know that I am never alone in this journey called Finding Your True Purpose . I continued to market myself through Pop up events and Work shops . I believe that those events are truly molding me into the person I am today . I am beyond grateful and blessed to experience those moments . Majority of my clientele are ladies and a few gentlemen that all have a common issue which is dark spots and dry skin . There favorite products on our skin care line are The Even Tone Glow Bar and Healing Facial Serum . Those two combos give clients ultra moisture to their skin while decrease dark spots on there face . Whereas , our top product on the body care side is our Whipped Oatmeal + Honey Body Butter Cremes . The creme is silky , smooth and non greasy ! It literally melts to touch a few have said !
But, overall my favorite part of this journey is growing seeing my growth from when I first started two years ago to now I truly see my vision and purpose coming to life .

What’s been the most effective strategy for growing your clientele?

For me , I believe the best way I have gain a lot of clientele is through Pop Up Events . During the Pop up Events I personally make sure each customer gets my business card and follows our business page . Once, they have done those two steps I let them know to subscribe to our emails so they can receive a 15 % discount on there next order . Majority of them follow the instructions and end up being a reoccurring customer for me . I truly love that !

How did you build your audience on social media?

How I built my audience on social media is by paying attention to social media rhythm . I noticed that majority of social media loves aesthetics videos and how to videos . So , I try my best to post at least two or three how to videos and the other context connect to engaging with my audience. The best advice I would give anyone seeking to start a business is to never give up on yourself . There will be slow days , fast days , and days you just don’t feel your best but don’t give up on you . That is the beauty of the journey.
